Re: Favourite song of the day
Not really favorite 'songs' but anyway... Two sets from the SonneMondSterne Festival in Saalburg, Germany, August 2002, where Underworld played too. Heavy rotation in the past six and a half years.
Anthony Rother Straight-forward, solid, danceable techno, plus 'machine-speak' lyrics. Northern Lite Catchy pop-rock techno, plus spoken-word lyrics, plus guitarrrrrr (!). |

Re: Favourite song of the day
I thought it was funny.
O.K. make it: Soak Up the Sun - Sheryl Crow(no reference to the black crows trained to do their thing. I think.) Other than the "Having a job" & "No one to blame" bits in the lyrics, it still quite applies. ubhbuuuhtch, see? I'm not the only one making hell jokes: http://www.newsweek.com/id/191393 |

SHE BOP(album) - C. Lauper
We-hell-I see them every night in tight blue jeans-- In the pages of a blue boy magazine Hey I've been thinking of a new sensation I'm picking up--good vibration-- Oop--she bop-- Do I wanna go out with a lion's roar Huh, yea, I wanna go south n get me some more Hey, they say that a stitch in time saves nine They say I better stop--or I'll go blind* Oop--she bop--she bop She bop--he bop--a--we bop I bop--you bop--a--they bop Be bop--be bop--a--lu--she bop, I don't even understand She bop--he bop--a--we bop I bop--you bop--a--they bop Be bop--be bop--a--lu--she bop, Oo--oo--she--do--she bop--she bop (whistle along here)... Hey, hey--they say I better get a chaperone Because I can't stop messin' with the danger zone No, I won't worry, and I won't fret-- Ain't no law against it yet-- Oop--she bop--she bop-- She bop--he bop--we bop... *adjust contrast/brightness & you may avoid this. I think, maybe. So can someone tell me if all the whistling is about masterbation, hanging oneself, one's financial status going down the drain, blowjobs, blow(cocaine), ...(hold on, I'll be back with more, I've just been drinking...) |

Getting Closer (The Pool Mix) - Nitzer Ebb
Believe or not, I'm in a really good mood after having to restore my entire fucking music library for the past two days, then having to delete everything that gets in my fucking music library twice, then having to delete everything from there to save more hard drive memory. Really, I'm in good spirits today. |

Sampladelic Relics & Dancefloor Oddities - Deee-Lite
http://www.amazon.com/Sampladelic-Re...9377996&sr=8-6 The whole thing minus the vocalcapella's. The good thing about this release is that one can rearrange & rearrange again and all the tracks blend into each other making each listen new. "... pass me the butter baby..." |

Tell It Like It Is - U840
I jus` a tell it like it is, yeah I jus` a tell it like it is, oh yeah I`ve got to be blatant in this time Jus` like I know 1 + 1 no make 9 (repeat) Now what was I saying about being blatant You got to be blatant in an argument You got to make sure your feelings are felt Perfect example for you from me Watch lying politicians me seh on me t.v. Pay big big money for the licence fee (at the same time them a try fi fool we) (repeat) (chorus) I jus` tell it like it is, yeah I jus` tell it like it is, oh yeah I`ve got ... I`ve got to be blatant in this time Now let me tell me more about being blantant You got to be blatant me seh With product you invent If you don`t patent it You nah see a cent You have no money fi go pay up your rent If you crash fi your car Or you in an accident If it`s not your fault you be blatant (chorus) I jus` tell it like it is, yeah I jus` tell it like it is, oh yeah I`ve got ... Now I get serious about being blatant Police come and mess with me pon the pavement They say oi` where you going, what you doing here? I just leave mi house fi go buy a tin of beer Another example of being blatant South africa police a kill the innocent Fire live ammunition me seh into a crowd If that`s not blatant murder Then murder can`t be found (repeat) BUUUUUUTTTT, you may end up like me, so, sticking one's head in the sand can be the easy route. :D O.K. & then, Looking Down At My Reflection - UB40 Looking down at my reflection In the puddle at my feet Things don`t seem so real down there Or maybe I don`t see I see no starvation I don`t see any pain I see myself not helping Just a lonner in the rain Looking down at my reflection In the puddle in the ground Things are getting clearer now I can see a thunder cloud I see gross injustice I see evil men I see myself repeating The same old words again Looking down at my reflection In the puddle lying there Now I decide to change my mind And show the world I care I care about my fellow man Being taken for a ride I care that things start changing But there`s no one on my side |
