Re: Hail Shearer

Man U need a point to win so unless Arsenal pull off a miracle, utd will put out a weak team against Hull which is the last game of the season.

Newcastle really need to win tomorrow to help themselves and not rely on others.

Very true. But its times like this where certain matchups can swing the way of the underdog under certain circumstances. Just ask Hull City in a week after Man U. takes the title this weekend. How many starters will touch the field for that game?

I question that to be honest. is it not tradition that the team that performs on the day of the award ceremony (last day??) is presented the trophy. Thus i cannot see the key players being left out for the whole game since they will surely want to lift the trophy themselves, also i cant imagine Ferguson sittin back and letting his team risk a loss on the last day of the season.

Will they be presented the trophy at old trafford if they win the arsenal match or will not wait till the last day of the season to present it in respect of the other games left to be played?and thus they get it at the hull game?

thats if they win, i would love Liverpool to do a shocker of some sort! haha

Upcoming Champion's League final in 2 weeks. Why would ManU risk having some key players hurt for what amounts to a nothing game (for United) against Hull?

this is how i see the final games of the season going:

Hull will fail to beat Man United - most likely be a draw
Newcastle however will fail to beat Villa away, and will go down as a result

i actually think whatever Hull do, win, lose or draw will be equalled by Newcastle and sadly for them they will go down.

Beating Middlesboro is one thing, but losing at home to Fulham is another and sadly that's the route of the problem - not enough passion remains

i'd prefer to see Hull go because they are shite too, but a season in the Championship might just do NUFC a bit of good

just my opinion, mind

I've said this too, they do need a clearout, from boardroom to pitch. Fulham were by far the better team at the weekend, I've enjoyed watching them immensely this season, hope they continue it and win more away games next season.

Sorry Geordies, you'll be back.
The Championship is a great league, I wish we were still in it.
