Re: new chemical brothers album and tour
Extended HQ mix of "Do it Again" on YouTube....Click
After 3 listens I'm starting to warm up to it (meaning that by tomorrow I'll probably be humming this shit all day:rolleyes:;) ) Gym/club fodder at it's finest. |
Re: new chemical brothers album and tour
"Do It Again" is a load of shit.
Geez.. I hope The Chem's don't turn out a shit album just like NIN this year. Who's next - Radiohead? *Crosses fingers* I fucking hope not! |
Re: new chemical brothers album and tour
Heard the single and not impressed at all, but i didn't like Galvanize to begin with so hopefully i'll warm to it.

Re: new chemical brothers album and tour
well - I have to say... it's definitely better than the vast majority of "Push the Button"
although, some parts did remind me of "Sexy Back" |
Re: new chemical brothers album and tour
the Justin Timberlake one ?

Re: new chemical brothers album and tour
oh yea - I guess I should clarify a bit.
At least elements of "Do It Again" remind me a bit of Justin Timberlake's "Sexy Back"... although it's been a while since I've heard the album version [as I'm not a fan of his music], so I might be thinking of the Riton remix (of 'sexy back') |

Re: new chemical brothers album and tour
Heard "Do It again" for the first time last night, and well... :(
But i remember that i rarely liked the lead-off single. Like many, i discovered the Chems with "Dig Your Own Hole" in 1997. That's a tough album to match, so my expectations for "surrender" were really high. i think in the U.S., the lead-off single was "Let Forever Be", and i thought, "meh, what a bad retread of Setting Sun". Learned to love it, though. Same with "It Began in Afrika". first listens = "WTF?". Later, i can't get enough of that jungle cat! And the same with "Get Yourself High" and even "Galvanize". Q-Tip, NO! Soon became, "yes, Q-Tip, the time HAS come! Push that button!". ;) hoping for the same effect this time around, once i hear the whole LP and let it work as a unified whole, the way i prefer to enjoy the Chemcical Brothers. |
Re: new chemical brothers album and tour
i gave up on the brothers after their last release. push the button had one good song (london) rest was crappy.
