I've always thought encores are cheesy so I don't miss it at all. Why waste time? NUXX or Moaner is a great closer too if they want to leave with maximum energy. I was drained after Rowla-Rez/Cowgirl-NUXX. Brilliant 1-2-3 intense finish.

I do miss the experimental UW but that's not what's on offer. Probably never again. Still great tunes though. Have fun tonight folks.

Am ok with no encore and the DJ "opener" because he plays really good tunes and I dont have to sit through some band I dont know and more often than not don't enjoy.

No guitar at all in Germany, so I am wondering if perhaps guitar is not on tap for this tour?

The entire Ring Road lyrics are being performed, and those lyrics are a significant element and focus of Ring Road, the song. So, classifying it as something like "Minneapolis (with Ring Road lyrics)" is selling it short, I think. It's a true Ring Road/Minneapolis mash-up.

How about Ring Road (Minneapolis Mix)?

I will be calling this "Ring Road Minneapolis" (as credited fro a previous radio show).

Both Ring Road/Minnaepolis + Santiago Quattro were first broadcast in the April 2008 jam. Looks like the band looked through their archives recently.

excellent point; espec. as Juanita was possibly the hightlight of the show for me (nearly a decade since ive seen them play that one).

however, altho i seem to be alone in this opinion in this thread, ive come to "expect" encores when seeing a band live. regardless of the extra 3-5min of music, its the "feeling" of the main part being done, the anticipation of the last ending part, and the final hoorah of the night.

on this particular night they rocked us from start to finish.....and after a gorgeous rendition of Nuxx (it never gets old in my opinion!), they left, the house lights came on, and security immed. started sheparding us out......

the highest high to the most nasty reality check ever.....

simply said, an encore is a buffer. and, in my opinion, a necessary one :)

regardless, epic night! so clean, it was dirty ;)

An encore is a necessary buffer. The days when they'd do a 150-170 minute set with barely a pause between songs (as I remember, there's about 1 second of 'pause' in the European Club Gig bootleg's first 70 minutes) are gone I can't keep up with that now, and neither can they! I'd rather the last encore be something that isn't NUXX, but then, great as NUXX is, and it's always a belter live, it's pretty much their "Ace of Spades", and the crowd kind of have a deal, that they will be patient as long as they get "NUXX Of Spades" at the end.

Did anybody else notice the camera on the right side?
The picture was taken before the show and I moved more to the front, so I don't know if the whole gig was filmed...

They pretty much always have a camera at FOH for every gig, I've noticed. I'm not sure whether they're recording for the archives, or if it's used in the live projection production.
