Its been a while, but im back......
Well when i originally posted this I was currently searching for answers for the Illuminati, Free-Masonry. Religion, and how politics and wars are governed be shady cults that no one know about. I brought the subject up to let you know that even if there was subliminal messaging in the music, its tought to says what this world is really about......

Im lost, I feel like I dont really know whats going on sometimes. The truth doesnt make sense and what is the truth? Christianity, Catholisism, Judiasm, buddhism??? WTF is the truth about our existence? Aliens, Heaven and Hell, The unknown??? And of course music.........
I cant really accuse of underworld music as being satanic, but I will say that there alot of power in music and depending on what, you as a musician, energy you pass down thru the music you play, Would you want to listen to a band that plays really good music who worships satan????

I for sure would'nt, I mean satan has the power to grant anybodies wishes, for a price$$$$. Fame , Fortune, Love.....whatever you want, but do you really want to go to hell??? Look at hollywood.

Did you actually read back what you wrote before pressing the "submit reply" button? The first line effectively says that you have no idea what youre on about, the second completely disarms your original posting, the third line is irrelevant because most people couldnt give a shit what religion or movement a band does in its spare time, and the fourth line just shows you up to be a homophobe. I left the :confused: in because thats how I and im sure most of the people here are left feeling after reading it.

Thanks for coming back and answering but I must say it wasnt really worth the wait. If you could clarify your "points" and make your writing a little more coherant then we might be able to have a conversation instead of ripping your posts to pieces (and im one of the more stable minded ones around here :))

Despite the inherent ridiculousness of this thread, you have to admit that:

1. Underworld are somewhat trancey (detailed melodies, celestial and deep synths);
2. There is something different about electronic music, to deny this is to deny what makes it special.

If you want to know what uw are all about, they're all about the beaucoup fish...

if you listen to some music and you feel a strange presence although you're alone - that's a good sign you're leading to trouble if you don't throw it out.

if you listen to music and things start floating - that's another good sign to toss it out.

I for one experienced the first - very unsettling. It was back in my gothic era, and no I did not wear fishnets... at any rate, I got rid of what I was listening to, and I haven't experienced it again.

you want to hear something freaky, pick up a copy of Styx - Paradise theatre on vinyl (og copy) and play that backwards and you'll hear some references to satan.

is satan real - yes.
does he influence music - yes.

In looking back on the title of your post... I think perhaps you got the wrong forum... This is for Underworld, I don't know who underworls is? They sound pretty satanic to me... :D

That is true, however "different" doesn`t always mean good!

Also true, but again, not all of it strikes a chord in me as being over the top, mind blowing, or very "different" either.

Electronic dance music has a quality to it that perhaps can`t be described in words, particulary when experienced live. I always like to use an analogy to Japanese "umami", which roughly means "delicious taste". What that means is open to interpretation, but in certain fermented and aged foods the feeling is certainly present for most people, although they can`t describe it. To me, a lot of electronic music is the same way. And when were talking about live electronic music (specifically Underworld), there is simply NO comparison to most rock and other types of music! There is a connection to the music (not simply the band) that I had not experienced in my years of going to rock/punk shows. I`m not saying I wasn`t connected to that music, it was just different. Again, I can`t really explain why it`s dfferent. Heck, I`ve tried to pin it down without success, but I think it`s simply enough to say that it is! Just MHO :)

Funny, because neither I nor my friends have ever had a problem - not to say that this doesn't happen. Always good, clean stuff too! They even give you their business card so you can pre-arrange a meet-up in the future.

To be honest, the fact that foreigners are standing out on street corners looking like obvious drug pushers (in a country where drugs are absolutely NOT tolerated) leads me to think that it's a yakuza racket and the police are payed to look the other way. I think the Iranians are simply foreign proxys being supplied from above, thus ensuring that the Japanese nationals running the whole thing will have their hands clean if there's ever an investigation!:rolleyes:
