I have it and can upload it to the RTSR tracker but it appears it was up there earlier and has since been removed.

Dunno, do I need one?

My ratio is 0, first time using the site.:)

Thanks Yan for the dime link, downloading as I write :D

Is a proper audio remux coming on the tracker, anyone?

ps: would a dedicated Jamie cover a dream?
pps: pre-recorded Karl singing track on Dark Train, that breaks my heart a bit...

I think 5 new tracks played is kind of a big deal isn't it?

Yep... shame we couldn't hear it very well at all in the hall. I would be seriously p*ssed off if it wasn't for the BBC stream... roll on the Roundhouse :)

For future reference, Yannick, what was the get_iplayer command line used to download the HD stream? I'm getting an error if I try to grab the highest quality stream.

Cheers,

Dr. Matt...

The new songs sound great already. That's a real positive. The guys look extremely happy, too. I'd love a really extra long version of 'Low Burn' when they do their own headlining shows. The style of that song is probably my favorite of the band.

Two tracks up on BBC Radio 6 Music's YouTube channel now for those without torrents, VPNs, iPlayers, etc. :)

I can see this opening a set quite easily. Build it up and off they go.

What is Rick singing at the end of I Exhale?

"Stare, stare, everywhere. If you've got ginger hair. La lalalalalala."

Same!

But as per usual with UW lyrics, I don't dig too deep.
Over the years, reading the transcribed lyrics hasn't done much to change my affection for the songs.

Take " I Exhale,". Didn't like it on first listen, but came to love it subsequently, though I still don't get all the words and meaning.

After flipping through Karl's Instagram today and realizing the Festival was last week, I quick went to YouTube and had a listen - and I Exhale was sounding very nice, very catchy. Happy to see you fine folks have done a great service by collating the rest of the show into something usable as we wait for the album!

Great to see Rick up there this time - looking forward to Berlin and London!

Maybe a little - we are big fans of Carpenter (have tickets to see him play live here in London next Halloween, we saw Alan Howarth this past one - so excited!) but his tunes always sound very ponderous to me with defined notes held for a long time usually within a very narrow range. Not to mention the ancient equipment he composed most of that stuff on giving it a unique sound. If its the bit I think you are talking of, sure I could see that sounding Carpenteresque (and lets be frank, he used a lot of the same sounds for different soundtracks), but pretty coincidental im guessing.

Thanks for the ftp link Yan. Just watching the set on iPlayer now but good to have a download for future listening :)
I still don't really like I Exhale but I quite like the other new songs.

To be fair they did transition Ova Nova into Nylon Strung. Not really in any elaborate way but the beat didn't stop.
Actually these two tracks together are definitely a highlight for me. Two really beautiful, emotional sounding songs with some nice singing by Karl and interesting to have female backing vocals (can't remember them having that ever?).

I also like Ricks' new starship Enterprise-like mixing console. :)

ALAF had Rick's daughter, Esme, on backing vocals. I don't think that's her on Nylon Strung though, cause she's a soprano (and it doesn't sound like her). I guess we'll have to wait until we get the liner notes to see the credits. Although maybe it's Karl's daughter. He's talked about her recent band stuff, and she did backing vocals for him too on the Edgeland tour.
