Just tried that with a fresh cart and it still complains about paying in Aus dollars. The UWLive store seems hell-bent on telling paypal that that's what currency I'm trying to pay with, regardless of what my account's primary currency is. Unless I'm doing something silly (which is highly likely)

Yes, but... it seems that the Underworldlive.com site has an automatic detection that knows what area of the world you are in. I changed my account to make pounds, but it still does not work. I also tried changing the location, and that does not work.

This is true. The detection automatically defaults what area you are in with the known currency.

I was sure I could bypass this by doing 2 things. I set up a UK e-mail w/UK Post Code and set up a new account at the Underworldlive.com site. When I went to order - same deal - it showed US dollars - doh!

Okay, lunch break is over - back to work (palm to forehead).

Similar here, shop detects I'm in Germany, sets to Euro, which PayPal doesn't accept.
Set to United Kindom, won't accept.

North Carolina (not born here, so shut up) here and I just bought the supreme super deluxe mega edition. I think I'm gonna call in sick the day it's supposed to arrive.

Hoping those vinyl's will still be up in a few weeks, $100 US is a bit much to swallow for a dozen songs and their mixes at one time.

I wish I could tell you more but it just... worked? I went to the Shop link, checked out, it sent me to a PayPal page with a big "UNDERWORLD" logo up top. On that page was a PayPal login prompt and I used it. It showed me the details of the purchase and the conversion to US dollars (66.68) and I hit "Pay Now" and it was done. I have the most basic PayPal available, setup in whatever the default way is. I didn't do anything differently than the first time I tried, it simply just worked this time.

In other news, I tried to access my pre-order on Amazon.co.uk and found it has vanished from my order history. I can't seem to call it up anywhere despite my email confirmation.

fuckle sticks. can't get it to work in Safari or Firefox. I get Smith Hyde Productions as the PayPal header and the same 'your currency is no good here asshole' message.

It's weird. I visited the site on my phone and it had the dollars in US, and I tried to check out and got the same error about them not taking my currency. I got on my laptop and the currency showed up on GBP. It picked USA and checked out (I logged in both times). Off I went to paypal where it told me the exchange rate and let me purchase it.

I don't know how to make the website show up in GBP, but like I said, I was logged in both times.

Try clearing out your cookies, temp internet files and all that.

EDIT: I think the key is making sure underworld's site shows the prices in pounds instead of whatever your dumb non USA currency is, :)

Ok, how do you change the currency display on the underworldlive site? I can't find it and it's defaulting to USD. I've cleared cache, cookies, reset safari, tried firefox and chrome. No dice.

I wish I could tell you. My Droid X's browser still shows the currency in US dollars, but my firefox on my macbook and my windows computer show it in GBP. All this is is on the same wifi network too.

I'm looking too again, see if I can figure out the difference. Got to help the fellow dirts.

Ok, I think I've come up with a solution for the US dirts...

a friend suggested I try a Proxy server which makes it so that sites 'see' that your on the internet in a specific country.

Unlockthenet.co.uk is one of these servers. There's an address bar at the bottom. I've typed Underworldlive.com in it and it took me to the site. I went to the shop and the currency showed up as GBP. I added my items and then went to check out. Lo and behold it redirected me to Paypal where I could purchase it.

I did not actually purchase it though because when it redirected me to paypal a warning popped up mentioning that I was entering a secured site and that it wasn't gonna be secure through the proxy. So I'm on the fence about this method.. because don't want to get my info stolen. But it might be for some risk takers. What do you guys think??

I just did it and it worked!

However, it didn't charge me for shipping. For the hundreds of times i've tried to order this, I should get free shipping anyway, but i'm sure this is going to fuck up my order somehow.

I'm going to immediately change my PayPal password though, just in case.

Weird. I'm in Canada and the price has been listed in GBP all day (Firefox on a Mac). The only reason I haven't ordered is the lack of security on the actual order page (I don't have a paypal account).

I'm going to take my laptop to work tomorrow and try it on our two different networks (inside and guestaccess, both have separate links to the world.) and see if it changes. I didn't think about it, but I'll take my phone off of wifi and use the cell network and try it. If it comes up different, then it's obviously not the device that's the issue.

Just tried it on my iPad and it worked. I just realized that all the things I tried it on, I wasn't logged on to the site yet. I added it to cart the logged in. This was the case for my phone too where the prices still showed up in USD.

I troubleshoot for a living so parden the over analyzing.

No shipping? When I did the proxy thing it sent me to paypal where the shipping price appeared and was added to the total.

Well, I have tried a multiple different ways to order this from Colorado USA with NO luck.
From a Vista & Windows 7 machine using Firefox, IE 7&8, Safari for Windows = no joy.
Tried on my old G5 using Safari and no joy.
Tried from my home connection and used a Proxy. I can get to the order page, but unless you have active funds in your PayPal account, it won't let place the order or add funds to complete the order. Of course, because of the Proxy, my email was lit up by PayPal and my account was limited. 20 minutes later after reverifying all of my account info, my PayPal is back online. I would recommend against anyone else using a web proxy to place their order thru PayPal. If you do, change your PW & your secret questions ASAP.

Tried from a Network LAN with a Bluecoat Proxy & Filter posting IPs from St. Paul Minnesota & Toronto, Canada and still no joy.

I'm going to wait until the site gets fixed for US orders, hard as that may be.
I feel like Cartman waiting for the Wii.

Just a thought. Are you all logging into Paypal to pay? It is a Paypal check out but you do not have to login to a PP account to pay as in my case because I used my credit card.
