True. Although some of the blame for this mentality has to clearly fall on Democrats as well. I NEVER approved of the "not my President" bumper stickers and vocal sentiments we were hearing from Dems when Bush was elected, and this is a good example of why. If Bush didn't have to be accepted as the legitimate President by liberals, then why should conservatives be expected to suddenly be gracious and accepting about an Obama win?

There hasn't been this much liberal ass-slapping per capita since November 4th!

EDIT: Does Libertarian = conservative? By today's popular definition, I'm not too sure.

It's not just "liberal ass-slapping". There are those of us here with centerist and even conservative leanings who are equally happy about the idea of having a President who aims to represent all Americans, not just those who share his political ideologies. That's the whole driving idea behind Obama's platform. You're looking at a bunch of American and international ass-slapping, not just liberal ass-slapping.

Yeah, they're not necessarily "conservative", but on a practical level, the Libertarian party usually syphons votes away from Republicans, just as the Green party syphons votes away from Democrats.
