Re: UW 2007/8 POLL RESULTS

Well, the question was, list your top ten favorite Underworld tracks. And I believe Matt listed them in order of total number of times they showed up on top ten lists.

i.e. as an example, say, Juanita was on 80 out of 100 top ten lists. And Beautiful Burnout was on 60 out of 100 top ten lists. And then, based on what position it was listed in on those 80 top ten lists, Juanita's average rank was 4.3. On the 60 top ten lists with Beautiful Burnout, its average rank was 5.3.

So, although Dark Train was ranked very highly on average (2.9), it did not appear on as many lists as Juanita, BB, etc.

spot on...

otherwise, a track that had one vote at say number one would have a rank of one, but was only voted popular by just one person... it was the simplest way to do it....

more people voted for Juanita in any position in their top ten and the average of these was 4.3, meaning more people put it in position 1-5 than 6-10 on their lists

it is by far the most popular track

what i might do is a poll of just the top ten tracks and get more people to enter....

this might give us a more reliable list as i think the volume of questions put some people off entering... some of the votes for the lower end numbers were poor

I have the same feelings about the Born slippy track. I love thing in a book and it's pretty much the only track I am still waiting to hear a live version of it. I do not know how many live recordings I have from Underworld and have seen them live a few times already but it seems they do not want to play 20+ minutes in a row. :D

Yeah, I too, would love to hear TIAB live. Great old skool groove. 20 minutes of bliss. True winner everytime you dim the lights. Would be awesome to hear this put on as a segue between the opening dj & when the band takes the stage in ATL. The anticipation would be...

Good show Matt, that's some serious data there. Numbers don't surprise me too much, I'm also glad to see some new tracks popping up in there.
