if the comment about "...everyting available in the U.S. is NOT MADE IN THE U.S." was directed at me, I think I should clarify...

apparently, China is well known for producing knock-off versions of what I guess you could call "collectable" footwear & clothing, in varying degrees of quality.

Like... here's an example - I was originally going to look for something Bape, which used to get loads of obvious fakes, but I found something a bit more noticeable (especially as - I am by no means an expert in the whole "shoe scene")

Ok, below is a link for an obvious fake. The color is off - should be bright pink & not that sort of tope color, and if you look at the eyes of the Futura alien (by the heel, below the swoosh, where it should be pink), they're filled in, and it almost looks like it was drawn on by a marker

Now - look at these, which are more than likely legit
the color is right, there is significantly more detail in the Futura designs, and the alien's eyes are OPEN, also - there are better quality photo's

but thanks for the info... the UW shoes, I'd say are more likely than not fakes, just b/c of the label on the back of one shoe doesn't say Tomato, and the price is so low... that being said if they are fakes, they definitely sound like they were produced with significant attention to detail, and are worth purchasing - thanks for the link!
