Re: so, this new Moby best of...
who's fault is the tracklisting on the album, Moby's or his label...??
its shitty, but is it Obi's fault? tbh i couldn't care less about this or any Moby album - he has never been that great for me, 'Go' besides, i can't say i'd listen to any Moby at great length Moby is an overated bald vegan musician... blah blah... |
Re: so, this new Moby best of...
Jesus, this seems to be a "lets lay into Moby" thread. I wonder how much input he had into this album. Sure, his last 2 albums have been a bit coffee table but Play was a masterpiece (tainted with overplaying tho), and Animal Rights was underrated. Live, he's always been entertaining and while he might not be as relevant as before he still puts on a good show.
Add to that he is a really nice guy :) |
Re: so, this new Moby best of...
I thought the second disc that came with certain versions of Hotel, with all the ambient stuff on it, was really nice. Didn't think much of the album itself though.

Re: so, this new Moby best of...
i mean...
the absolutely horrible tracklisting has MUST have something to do with his current label, and not necessarily him but I can't get over that he'd even green-light a greatest hits which is basically just a sampler for his last three albums ...and the fact that he is re-doing Go again for this release, as well as that I Love New York track suggests that he's 'on board' for this release it just sucks, b/c I still respect Moby... both as a person and well... if not for his current music, at least what he has already accomplished and his live shows have never disappointed me |
Re: so, this new Moby best of...
Shouldn't a Moby best-of just be a blank cd? Ho Ho Ho

Re: so, this new Moby best of...
i've seen Moby Live twice and he was pretty poor on both occasions... just my experiance
but no Bryantm i've not heard 'early underground' - i will take a listen... i personally don't really listen to a lot of Moby... and maybe thats why i don't like him, but it may be because i don't like him that i don't listen... mmm |
