Thanks for the tip on the Creatives. I bought a pair off ebay for 15 including shipping, and they should be here in a week! I had a pair of (what looks to be) equivalent Sony earbuds I bought for 50, but they break after about 7 months of use.

I bought the E3c and they make a world of difference when switching from stock cheapo ipod earphones. too bad, after a year of use the wire exposed and its useless.

personally, i perfer the big o sony dj headphones i bought for $100something.

There is a seller on ebay who sells EP630's and CX300's for very cheap prices...

I've read about him on some forums and it appears that he doesn't sell fake items... let's see, i'm going to order a pair. :)

I'm reading that most of the asian origin sellers of OEM CX300's and EP630's are fake headphones. I mean, ive seen them for $4 + $19 postage ($19! for something that weighs less than 10g).

Some people are saying that the treble is better in the CX300's but not by much and for the money the Creative's are excellent value. The Sennheisers get the nod over the Sony EX71's etc tho which have got a reputation for bad build quality.
