Even the bootleg is rare these days.

It looks like this is the bootleg, and is provisionally sold to ndrwrld.

They also had a 4LP Boxset of 1992-2002 which I got for myself.

Re: collectors' corner

£25 for the booty - thats nuts, HTFR had loads years back at £5.99 - infact i'm convinced that they made them them selves... but have no hard evidence (to save my self from being sued ;) )

read all about the differences here :)

not really worth it, unless you're a completist..
maybe if there were some unique cuts/edits on it...

but still... what a poor photograph too... couldn't they
have found a better one?

Re: collectors' corner

what! for a lot less you could buy the 1992-2002 album and add a couple of trax - even as a completist (of old) would have not paid £60 for this.

you've got to be aiming at the completist fan, but there's nothing new or different on it,

I've asked the seller about that Rez - issue no., run-off inscription. Should clear things up a bit!

Yes, I have it in my collection. Got it from Ebay a year ago I think - and for much less, probably £10. Appears to be legit.

However, the printed track listing is not correct. The correct one is

1. Dogman Go Woof (3:42)*
2. Spikee (12:40)
3. Dark & Long (7:40)
4. Cowgirl (8:33)
5. Dirty Epic (9:56)
6. Rez (10:01)
7. Born Slippy.NUXX (9:49)
8. Rowla (6:35)
9. Juanita (6.09)**

1. Pearl's Girl (9:39)
2. Moaner (7:43)
3. Push Upstairs (4:38)
4. Jumbo (7:02)
5. King of Snake (9:01)
6. Bruce Lee (4:47)
7. Cowgirl (Futureshock Mix) (8:29)
8. Two Months Off (9:11)
9. Dinosaur Adventure 3D (7:58)
10. Twist (6:24)

* Starts abruptly and plays the last 3m42s
** Fade-out after 6 minutes

I paid 50 bucks for mine about 4-5 years ago. Seems Skyscraper on CD single is worth about 50 bucks.

I saw the 12" of Skyscraper in Music & Video Exchange for £4 a few weeks back. I was on my bike and only had a small bag on me so didn't buy it at the time.
A week later it appeared in Sister Ray for £20

Re: collectors' corner

I don't know if there are really only 75 copies of that. There are apparently 19 people who have copies of it on Discogs alone:

http://www.discogs.com/Underworld-Ro...release/126582

I don't think there's any way that 25% of ALL the copies is existence could be represented on Discogs.

the press release that came with mine, stated only 75 copies, since sold it, but it seemed likely that only 75 were sent out - it appeared one of the rarer UW release, as i owned several copies of pink rez, and saw loads of skyscrapers, and other items about... even supposed rare ones, i only ever came across the one copy of Rowla!

i think people that own collectable items are pretty keen to share that they have them, so 19 might be about right....

i don't see many people shouting that they own shitty 1 in a million copies of candle inthe wind (for example)

BrotherLovesDub 06-13-2011 10:11 AM

Re: collectors' corner

yeah, i'd have to think that the number on discogs is legit. discogs is a site primarily for electronic music lovers and collectors.

diamond jigsaw 6 track promo

guess i didn't see this earlier:
------
http://i.ebayimg.com/t/UNDER-WORLD-D...7ev!~~0_12.JPG

it has the main mixes..

i've been wondering if these (promos) qualify as collectors items though?

especially since most mixes are released digitally first.
i know a few people still like and prefer physical single releases,
along with actual artwork.
but the band has been de-emphasizing those for quite some time now.

i guess in a way they still are, but they aren't really offering
new material in this way. the digital releases sometimes have
more mixes to offer.

for me as a former collector, i'd still want this more than a digital release, to have and to hold is better than anthing else, at least its official and is probably a rarer item than ever before because these are becoming scarcer, and owning something material is better than digital which is infinite. I mean, if my entire uw mp3 collection got wiped - it'd be a pain but i reckon i'd be able to grab most of it again - without cost somehow, if you know what i mean. So yeah its digital if you want all the material, but if your a collector of product its still worthwhile, no one says come round and see my 25,000 mp3's do they...??

some singles on amazon are print-on-demand cd-r's (examples from 'bt')
that come with artwork also.

i would think that would be an easy alternative for bands to provide
both options for fans. again the question would be if it is worth getting
those when they would never really go out of print or would always
be accessible. much like digital WAV files for the mixes of the latest
underworld singles.
