[quote=TheBang;108024]Based on Book of Jam 7 (spread pages 30-32), that is indeed Van Halen Van Halen Rock Guitar Band.

Thanks for the info! I don't know how I missed those images first time through BoJ 7.

Also, thanks lloyd about Crossing Border info.

So if you all are such Underworld fans, someone may can help me. I am registered at underworldlive as a member. i bought all three parts of the river run series, so i got this special link for the misterones mix. unfortunately the link does not work. it always says there's no file behind. i sent an email to the admin, asked for an alternative link, but got no answere. can someone of you can tell me where i can get this mix instead of the underworld shop. or maybe someone could send it to me? would be very pleased :)

That sure sold for a pretty penny. The bidding went crazy in the last few seconds. Congrats to both of you.

I don't know where it came from. Anyone else remember this?

I REMEMBER THAT!!!!!!!

There used to be a Real Player/ Real Audio File on the old Underworld 'fan page' that Yannick ran called RTSR (it was kinda like the 'official' unofficial UW fan webpage)

I have periodically asked about this for YEARS but either no one has it, or really remembers it

Underworld - 50 Minute Mix (Promo CD) [2004]

I got this from a friend working in an independent record store a few years ago. It is a 50 minute continuous mix of Underworld tracks sent out by V2 Records promotion department.

Great mix though and obviously very rare.

Tracklisting:
1. Luetin
2. Little Speaker
3. Twist
4. No Move
5. Two Months Off
6. Dinosaur Adventure 3D

Never seen this before. It says continuous mix, but those tracks only sum up to 46 minutes. Maybe I don't know the meaning of continuous mix, but I assume that means that tracks fade into each other (and do not reappear).

However, there are several AHDO promos that list Mo Move as being 13'49. I don't know if Mo Move played on the May 13th 2006 Lemonworld show was a live jam, but that was 13'26 (early fade?).
That version would make up for the 'missing' minutes on the '50 minute mix
. :)

Anyway, nice find, Todd. Another one to look out for.

The AHDO promo in the DVD case has multiple songtime errors listed on them, appeared the same as on the released version.

Re: collectors' corner

I wonder if they just confused that Underworld Promo Mix that came out around the time of AHDO (which had stuff by other artists mixed in... I only remember that Royksopp was one of them) and the AHDO Promo release, which only had a few tracks on it

and I'm pretty sure that the second promo that I mentioned had the exact same tracks as listed above -> but they were definitely NOT mixed together

buzzelvis 02-15-2009 09:03 PM

Re: collectors' corner

I have that mix as an .mp3 that was linked from either underworld's site or the forums around the time when DA3D single came out. It is mixed with other artists music as short segways and is really a good mix. My copy is only at 56kbps and I was looking for a higher quality back in 2007. I was always wondering how it had been distributed and if there was a cd version floating around. cool.

You sound remarkably calm!! If I lost my copy, I would be tearing firstly my flat apart, and then probably my entire being. For starters, it is a beautiful package - from the sublime typography of the insert (I'm guessing John Warricker) to the triple disc jewel case. And then there's the gig - where do you begin?? The serene, chilled opening (which is beautifully briefly repeated later on disc 1) fading into the brutal techno of JAL to Tokyo, and so onto Mmm Skyscraper (the drumbeats flashing back and forth on the earphones), to Kittens blasting the cobwebs (surely the most inappropiately entitled track) and then Yuanita - what can I say - "ricky on the groooove!!"

Sorry guys, I have got a bit carried away, and prob from the original subject of this thread - oops

Dirty0900 05-01-2009 10:51 AM

Was the price right?

[Crap thread title I know]

Oddly managed to pick up the 12" Big Mouth/Eclipse release today from the Lemon Interrupt days. I paid £7 for it due to me knowing the owner and the sleeve being a bit tatty. Was it a good bargain?

about right i reckon, for a tatty sleeve

max price i'd say it'd go for mint is £12-£15 no more though...

Rowla promo, I believe. Supposedly pretty rare.

http://www.bigscreensatellite.co.uk/rowla.htm

I got one, but it got bent terribly when it was shipped to me. :( Mine's completely blank white labels, and says "UW Promo . 1 . A2" and "UW Promo . 1 . B2" in the runout grooves. Is that what yours looks like?

PS2 games are region locked, so you'd need a mod or a JP PS2 to play it. Also, I've read that the PS3 still enforces PS2 region codes (even though PS3 games have no region restrictions).

Yeah that's why it's still sealed and untouched for me as well :( I've never had access to a Japanese/Asian PS2 or a modded one, although I've heard that it's supposed to be easier to get that fix done nowadays.

Still, I've thought it's a cool item to have anyway - now it just won't fit into the moving boxes :(

One of the watermarked Oblivion with Bells promos has shown up on eil.com. IIRC these were limited to 200 copies? It has a unique catalog number too, UWR-00015-3. Seems a decent price for a limited item.

I picked one up on ebay for a much lower price, it's numbered in the 1600s so I think there are a lot more than 200 around.

Re: collectors' corner

It's region locked, so you need a PS2 that can play Japanese games. So, I haven't played my copy. They don't show up very often though.

Some of the music is from AHDO. I forget which songs specifically. It's difficult to access the music outside the confines of the game. There are some spoken word samples. I dunno. I haven't tried to access the game assets for a couple years. There may be better tools now.
