Unfortunately my lame ass will be commuting home during the show - Boo! Oh well - hopefully they will archive it - I can connect my PowerBook to my component CD Recorder hooked up to my stereo and burn the stream to CD. If it's a successful recording I'll let you know - if anyone is interested, I'd be willing to make copies for trade only - anything Electonic/Techno/Trip-Hop related... now playing: "Battersea - Hooverphonic" Depeche Mode in LA Nov 21, 2005 - Woo Hoo!!! |
Re: Thursday night
Sky+Digibox --> Optical Interconnect --> M-Audio Transit --> Powerbook --> Audacity --> 2 x CD.
Let's do this. :) |

Re: Thursday night
THIS is a better link. It gives you an option window where you can select timestamps etc. Be warned, you cant change your nick after you've entered the room and the BBC chat isnt accessible via IRC.
However, IF the BBC chatroom ISNT open please re-locate to the #RTSR channel on the dirty.org server. Take a look at THIS screenshot. |
Re: Thursday night
Once again, left out of the chat because it wouldn't load or log in...:mad::mad:

Re: Thursday night
Me too, but mostly because my computer is total shit and not behaving.
No chat, no recording off the radio...:mad::mad: I'm not happy. |
Re: Thursday night

we may never know... still great show and lovely music. thanks Karl! |
Re: Thursday night
Its hard to play the tracks if u dont see the crowd in front of u. I have respect for Rob da Bank and Chric Coco. They dont see the crowd, but they pick tunes that builds the atmosphere.
And Karl did this job very well, it was pleasure for me to heard the selection. And Mr. Brian Eno was like surprise, its amazing track. (How did Karl get that track? From Eno himself, OMG) Thanks Karl for that and ... please ... do it soon again;) We all love your voice, its unique... |
Re: Thursday night
was that his normal voice or his 1970's smashie and nicey radio one?
|
DJ Koze - twisted and won't leave my head. Kind of reminds me of Daft Punk - Rollin' & Scratchin.
Animal Collective - utter madness. Weirdest record I've heard in a long time. Will play this to lots of people. Melt Banana - rocking! The Hidden Persuader - glitchy and beautiful, like a really great Aphex track. Zoo Brazil - My favourite track played. Liquidy and just lovely. Makes me cry that this is unreleased, I want it right now. Phantom Formation - dark and rinsing. John Martyn - *wow*, this is one of the most emotional songs I've heard in a long time. Beautiful. |
Re: Thursday night
Very interesting to hear the first track Quentin Harris' "Let's Be Young", which is great. Especially interesting is that the horn work in it is lifted straight out of the default loops "RnB Horn Section" in Apple's GarageBand application! Still, he's used it well.
I used it in one of my tracks with a little echo and distortion, but it's still recognisable: http://www.15megsoffame.com/artist/2.../413/Two-Birds matt |
