actually, we started the show in the seats to the left of that guy. at that moment, though, i was out in the hall sternly lecturing my nauseated stomach. i ended up watching the first half of cowgirl on the monitors before i felt well enough to go back in for the rest of the show. |
Re: atlanta
The video projection during Dirty Epic is very beautiful. Thanks for the vids! Looking at some of the wider shots, it looks like a pretty small stage.
Ah ha, I knew I'd heard it somewhere. The little ambient intro to Cowgirl was played about halfway through the 2005-12-15 Lemonworld Webcast with some Welsh lessons over it.. Edit: Here are some more vids that someone posted: http://www.youtube.com/user/Crimdog |
Re: atlanta
What kind of version of Mowed Path was that, anyway? I couldn't figure out quite what it was when I heard it. Is it a live-only mix, Darren Price mix, or what?
|
Re: atlanta
Absolutely amazing evening! The best Underworld show of the five times I've seen them! Set was fantastic with great mix of old & new. "Juanita/Kiteless" was super-sweet! :D Loved hearing "Darc," "Dirty Epic," "Mo Move," and "Born Slippy (Orignal)." NUXX was slammin' good too. "Cowgirl/Rez" was great toward end! Many thanks to Underworld for a fantastic performance!

it was so nice for me on a personal level because for some reason for the last couple of weeks i've been listening to mowed path almost daily. it's perfect for the ride into work on the train. so the instant i heard it i almost shot straight up out of my seat. |
Re: atlanta
I can't say enought about this venue. I've never seen an UW show that sounded as crisp as this one did. I usually expect the vocals to be a bit muddied but from the first word Karl spoke, I could understand everything.
The song choice was remarkably awesome and it totally played to the crowd. Oddly enough, I know exactly what your husband is referring to, Cacophony, with his Jumbo comment. That song DID feel overbearing or something. The breakdown felt a lot more free and whimsical though. EDIT: also, i seem to have caught BB's cough. So if *cough* any PM is going around/was going around while I was away regarding a second listen to the best show ever, *cough* could I please be included? |

Re: atlanta
for the umpteenth time: RTSR is the place to spread your coughs...
though i don't know if there's a remedy yet. |
Re: atlanta
I also happen to be in dire need of a PM that's floating around... That was easily the best concert I've ever seen. I need to relive it. ;) Much appreciated.

Re: atlanta
here's my video of TMO with the tubes inflating and being arranged. the sound is meh but the quality of image is alright I guess. either way, it gives a nice memory for those that saw it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRxn0fCYnyY Edit: it says its unavailable, but I'm not sure why. prob. still processing. http://vfw5481.com/jason/uw_atlanta/uw4.jpg http://www.vfw5481.com/jason/uw_atlanta/uw3.jpg |
Re: atlanta
Hi all! Long time lurker first time... ahh, you know what I'm about to say. Anyway, I was absolutely thrilled to finally be able to catch an Underworld show, especially after being a fan for so quite a while. I'll admit to being a bit concerned with the technical issues at the beginning of the show. Even "Juanita" seemed a bit less powerful than it should have been and left me wondering what was happening on stage. And then... "Crocodile." Finally, the kick was moving air, the bass was solid, the vocals were clear and the euphoric wash of sound that filled Center Stage during the chorus made my hair stand on end. Incredible. The rest of the show was equally as amazing and I can't wait to catch 'em again.

..when and if they send the gorram confirmation info (for the tracker). I've been waiting almost 4 weeks. |
Re: atlanta
Your account has been active and waiting for you to log into since March 6. If you'd bothered to read any of the several e-mails I sent to the list, you would've known that you don't receive an e-mail confirmation when your account is activated, and that you should just try logging in with the username and password you selected upon registration.

When I try to log into the the RTSR tracker, I get the invalid username/password message. I know the l/p I'm using and it's not invalid, so it appears that things still have yet to be activated. I'm not going to argue. I know the l/p I'm using, I'm putting it in correctly and it's not working. |
Re: atlanta
The answer to your current problem was e-mailed to the list 41 minutes after your original e-mail to the list on March 7. All the answers have been given to you several times now. You do need to "bother to read."
I, however, do not need to bother wasting any more time on trying to help you. You should trust that I do know what I'm talking about when it comes to the tracker. BTW, the greeting e-mail does NOT say you will be contacted. It says the account must first be approved by a moderator. I will, however, re-word the e-mail to clarify that approval does not include subsequent contact. |
Re: atlanta
to be fair, the wording is kind of confusing. i thought i would receive an email confirmation as well and waited a couple of weeks before finally just attempting a login. i posted a question about it and then tried to remove it when i realized i'd just misunderstood the process.
if you're a luddite like me, you don't instinctively pick up on these things. :o |
Re: atlanta
RTSR log in?!?
I thought it was a mass email thing......or at least it was back when I signed up for it a couple of years ago.... |

Trying to help me? You're being nothing but a complete know it all snarky jerk to a guy who's trying to share a recording of an awesome show with you/RTSR. Helpful my ass. Glad you won't be wasting any more of your time :) |
Re: atlanta
So did this *cough* ever make it on the RTSR tracker? If not a PM would help remedy my *cough*.
|
Re: atlanta
I really do seem to be *ack* coming down with something as well.
I am on the RSTR mailing list but haven't seen anything that could *ahem* clear this tickle in my throat. Surely there must be a PM that could help. |
Re: atlanta
I've never seen so much coughing in one forum. I think somebody must be smoking in here.
|
Re: atlanta
looks like the guy who wants to cure the cough is being told his cure isn't welcome.

Re: atlanta
Hey Charles,
You deserved it man, you were the first fan in the venue waiting for the show. Now, I'm back in Morgantown trying to focus on my job, but it's too difficult, as you see. Thanks for sharing. Best regards! |
Re: atlanta
It was bloody awesome. I am so glad I was able to go though sad I didn't get to meet up with the other dirties. By the time we got to town, got in the hotel, and got changed, it was too late to head to the Spotted Dog. We ate at Marlow's Tavern instead. Not too bad...at least we got our food pretty fast!
I took tons of photos but they're all on my man's camera. I may try to get them from him tonight. I haven't actually seen them on the computer yet! Oh, and *cough* *sputter*...sorry I must have a terrible frog in my throat! :p More from me later... -Holls Edit: Oh, the opening DJ dude...his tunes were amazing. I wish I had a copy of his mix as well as the UW gig! |
Re: atlanta
Holls Dear
I was bummed not to have missed you. we left the spotted dog at 9p still waiting... oh well my loss! Maybe in another 12 years! craNk. |

We sat in the seats, stage right, 3rd row up in the section closest to the stage. I'll have to post some links to the photos, once I get them tonight, in the next day or so. I had a good photo of me & my dude on my camera but my aunt who flew into town Sunday for my cousin's wedding this Saturday left her camera at home in OH and borrowed mine, so it's about 100 miles away from me at the moment. :) -Holls |
