It's a broken link.

Re: Underworldlive version 3.0 thread

You almost have to click all the links every day. So many new images going up. New images on the OwB cover click-thru. A new tree photo is up. 2 new Mastering pictures. An old squiggle has returned, and the most recent squiggle moved to the click-thru page.

Re: Underworldlive version 3.0 thread

Indeed.. my only complaint with all this cool new stuff on the page is that I have to check back so often, and scroll through the whole page for fear of missing a delicious titbit of stuff like phonestrap :)

Re: Underworldlive version 3.0 thread

Interesting. "Wayposts" today describes some of their design process and philosophy, as well as illuminating what's going on with Underworldlive.com 3.0.

Also, the squiggle has changed, and links to a squiggle movie today.

I loved that entry for Waypost 1. It's great to see Karl explore one full idea like that...gives us insight/perspective/identity(?) into both the Belly book and some Underworld lyrics (water on concrete, water on stone)...

more please :)

Mmm, would be great to see the return of Cherry Pie, Air Towel, Cups, or Ansum?

As per usual. But I'm hoping that aside from selections from the current roster of songs, there'll be like at least one dusty, forgotten gem thrown in each night.

Right-click, save as:

Surely, the date should read 15Aug2007 instead of 15July2007?

Re: Underworldlive version 3.0 thread

Looking at the new album artwork and the book of jam images from UW/Tomato...i'm reminded very much of some of Graham Wood's earlier videos' layered effects (Spikee, Cowgirl, Most 'Ospitable, Spoonman, Dark train come to mind)...the text and colorful video pix entering and fading in rapid succession.

Did Graham Wood do the cover to OWB? Or are these jams and layered techniques the "Tomato Style"?

the way it works is they monitor traffic to certain sites and certain types of e-commerce sites. I think Ant changed the code for the site, into a e-commerce site (resembling a porn site) therefore they blocked it. The only other explanation is that their are many Dirties at my work using uwlive.com, which is inconceivable (sadly)

Nope they never block dirty.org, simply not enough penis and vagina talk (in their 'vulgar' forms). ;)

Great band of the past, The Ruts. Still listen to them too now and then. On my blog I posted about buying 'ruts in a can', that was when Yan was over from canada, Feb. 2005...

Yet another audio track is up online named "Romford Walk" version. Perhaps we'll see this track of ambient noise worked into something musical sometime soon. :) I love these new sounds released online.

Had to drive through Romford today. I wish it inspired me as much as it seems to inspire R & K :D

"Architecture for the blind" indeed :p

I was curious if there is going to be any webcasting or streaming audio for any of the US shows? I know there was mention of it in a promo interview that Karl Hyde gave to Billboard.com. I can't make it this time around to the California shows, and this would be the next best thing to being there.

Re: Underworldlive version 3.0 thread

Yeah, I was wondering that too. I think they actually mentioned wanting to do another streaming video feed, ala Cocoon. But given how close it is to all the shows now and we still haven't heard anything, I would guess that it's probably not going to happen.

i find myself kind of liking it when they fuck up. reminds me that it's not this streamlined push-n-play kind of deal but that it's a LIVE show and they make it work so that i barely notice anything anyway.

because apparently tons of shit fucked up and i just went with it.

mentioned there were a lot of technical issues last night to my flatmate this morning, who went last night but doesn't know a lot of Underworld, and he said the same thing.

I noticed a few screw-ups, but nothing really to distract from show. I thought the biggest screw-up of last night was when the rolling, building drums at the beginning of NUXX finally breaks for the first time into the familiar warm duh-na-duh where most finally realize what song it is. they were about 1.5 seconds too late and the drums had started to fade.

off in about two hours to tonight's show. I'm skipping most of Oakenfold this time.
