Gonna be living in Amsterdam for a year from August onwards. Never been to the HMH, any Dutchys wanna let me know what it's like as a venue? Also, they better come to Ireland, I wanna a drinky Underworld gig, and then a smoky Underworld gig!

It looks small but in fact, the room holds 5000 people. The soundquality was great when I was there.

HMH has great sound and a large GA area for moving about, and there are beer girls with kegs of Heineken strapped to their backs walking about so you don't have to go to the bar to get a refill. Choice!

Downside - it's not really in central Amsterdam, so you have to take a train to the next party venue.

Just had my tickets through for the Glasgow Carling Academy show!!! :D
I hope it's a better venue than the Birmingham CA which was well skanky.
Flights from Cardiff only £5.99 each way - bargain.

A text I got from Lukeyd last night told me that I was going to the Roundhouse gig.. So not wanting to disappoint him I'm going to try to - can someone fill me in on what my travel arrangements ought to be to get there and then away?
For shenanigans in London I tend to fly by easyJet to Luton and get what I think is called a "Green Line" coach to the centre. The coach runs all night every half hour so I usually get that back and spend a bit of time creeping about Luton airport until my 7am flight North.

Yeah it's a great wee venue. It's got this great three tier shape on the floor where it looks rammed from the back but if you push through to the front you can find loads of room. I could've been off with the Chems trainers once when I seen them there, it was that easy to get to the front :p

book your ticket through the roundhouse website http://www.roundhouse.org.uk and you'll save yourself over £6 on booking fees etc...
(i bought mine through gigsandtours just now and it cost me £30.65! Then i had a nose at roundhouse.org.uk and it appears you can get em for £24.50! Booking fee is only £1. You can choose to make a donation to their chariddy too if you're feeling generous)

I have already bought a ticket for the 2nd night:o Apart from anything, this 2nd ticket was bought fom the Roundhouse directly and it has already arrived, whereas the first concert was puchased through gigsandtours and the ticket has yet to arrive:eek: So, the Thursday extra ticket is a sort-of back-up - sort of

joy turns to despair :( just realised i'll be out of the country until the 5th - aaargh! hopefully there may be a 2nd show at tripod and i can make that (my hopes are raised seeing as there's a gap between the dublin and belfast shows). [x's fingers & hopes for the best]

I got my extraordinarily over-priced HMH tickets today. Seems the only place you can get them now is ticket scalpers and eBay. Such is life, I guess. Still worth every penny :D

Got my tickets for Dublin, they don't seem to be sold out or anything anyways.

Now, only thing left to do is to try and convince a mate to reconvene his wedding to a more hangover friendly date than the day after the bloody gig. I might be able to convince him, the missus-to-be could be harder work.
