feels good to fire up again anyway. a little rusty but working on it... getting some old themes out of the system, getting a bit crude and also testing some new things...
i'll also get some actual photos in... maybe do a packet of random things

i think the cellphone photo contest is a good idea. most people would have access (either from their own phone or a friend's) and it's fairly simple. plus, i have a feeling that's something mr. hyde would dig, no?

or, the "guess the number" contest would be fair, though maybe a bit tough to manage for yan.

i'm with ally though...tell me what/how and i'll do it.

well, i for one am proud of my BS cover, not a remix - but I doubt at this point that anyone is going to hear it :(

nonetheless, I'd sure love a tag - and besides, how about one for those of us that purchased "in the belly of st. paul" on its special release signed by karl with the pic in it? :) or whatever the kind mr. Yan may decide... much love and thanks.

you know what you should do Yan, is give them to the first 150 members who signed up to (joined) Dirty in its most recent incarnation...

so the first member gets 001, and the 150th, 150... thats it...

makes them exclusive club memberships... ;)

i have one already...but i'd still like a lower number...

infact...000 or 001 would be best for me being number one superfan ;)

oh and if you have 001-150, complete - do you have 133, because i already have it, and it means that they duplicated the numbers...?

I see a lot of inactive users among the first 150 members, while some of those who joined later seem to post a lot here, so I don't think that would be 'fair'.
Yannick, why don't you do the same thing you did with the Tokyo discs - put up a poll and ask how many are interested? - I guess less people would be interested in these tags than the cds.

I'm not a very creative type and would hate to come up with some goofy cellphone pic of me or something like that. :)

Do we know how many people bought the "River Run"-releases? Maybe there's more than 150... Or maybe I'm overestimating their popularity. If possible, this would be a good way to give them out.

Another idea would of course be an art-display. Be it photo, simple art or music... Anything that is relevant for Underworld or this forum.

... What i mean is: all of those who considerer themself as "completists" should prove they are ( and thats the reason why they want these tags) and should get a ref. or coded ebay auction in order to buy one. The same way as we did with the Tokyo cds.

You need to do something akin to the Tokyo discs. Making it an exclusive thing for those who logged in first etc. is ridiculous.

I could see giving it to the top 150 posters if you want something like that... start at most messages and work down. If you want to make it an elitist thing...

Otherwise, selling via eBay seems the best way (but again, cryptic item # and such)...

I can't say i'm an UW completist... but I am definetly a collector no matter what. I'd take one if I can get it, but I do seriously think that the best way is just good old fashioned ebay.

First off, i love you all!
But, y'all realize Yannick hasn't responded to anyone's request or suggestions since last tuesday, and back on post #15 he wrote that he's not in a rush for this. Until he gets around to it, maybe let's stop with the reasons why we all deserve it more than the next dirty? Anyone who posts here is admitting they are a huge U/W fan and most would probably like/deserve a tag. Just my two cents, cos from some viewpoints, this thread is starting to get grubby :p

haha i agree, but asides from the specific tag numbers i doubt that there are more than 150 people who want one of these either way...

afterall a much more prized piece - the tokyo CD only prompted about 100 yes's to a poll of who wanted one... (ok so a few more may still want that, but even so...)

no one deserves anything... Yannick has a bunch of left over tags from a while back (maybe - you never know with yan ;)) and wants to shift them to some fans... i believe that everyone who really wants one will get one...

they are not that great, not that unique and not that desirable... i'd rather have some new 12" / CD any day - music is the key

(personally i'm just joining in the banter, i already have one - but would like to swap for a lower number - but if i didn't get one then i'd be no worse off - ok so if i didn't have one then maybe i'd be wanting one, but I still wouldn't be fretting about it because i seriously doubt that 150 people have said they would like one, and doubt 150 will)

anyway, we're Dirty - thats why its getting grubby

Well, I'm one of the 100 yes's and I did not come anywhere near getting a CD. And based on their being sold out within about 15 minutes of their availability on Ebay I would expect the demand to be pretty high.

I'm all for riverrun purchasers to have a chance at these, since I've at least been able to get those. And I'm all for photographing my UW CDs and DVD and mmm...skyscraper book. etc., maybe I could even find a photo of the Born Slippy 12" that I bought on ebay that that prick never shipped...
