I didn't like the last album that much because it's all so SLOOOOOOW. Almost nothing on it is mixable with my collection :(

it sucks. i've read plenty of reviews saying it relates back to Homework, but that's no good. Homework had a groove and soul, and HAA lacks both of those important ingredients. Even the most tracky Green Velvet track has a groove to it.
regardless, the show was great.

HAA is weak stuff.
but damn, i still like it a lot. it's cheap, but it's alive. it's got about 40 seconds of ideas that gets pummeled into the ground, but after all these months, it's just as fun as it was before

that said, i'm thinking of starting a bartering system where i can give my right index finger just to see them live for several hours.

That video is amazing - everyone should grab it, every last byte is worth it.

BTW - Are there any Global Gathering regulars here? - I head the sound at the Underworld gig last year was shite - was that a one off or is the sound generally a bit rubbish there?

yea - that recording has got to be one of the best audience recordings (in general) that I've heard in a long time

I listened to most of it today on my iPod while flying back to my apartment... didn't notice a single point with bassy distortion (or lack of bass either)

...and no annyoing screaming fans by the mic's

Great recording, a bit spotty at times I think with the channels, but that could just be Daft Punk too. Only complaint about the recording is that it's not loud enough! How can I rock out to a (relatively) soft recording? (Easily fixed through Goldwave.)

But, fuck, I wish I was there. This is absolutely amazing.

i agree it's a killer recording. the man who recorded it, "BoldCaptain," deserves a medal.

i took the FLAC, converted it to wav, used Sound Forge to EQ a little bit (boost the highs slightly) and did a little normalizing to boost the volume.

i converted that to a 192 kbps mp3 and you can download it here -- but only until tomorrow.

I've got some recordings from BoldCaptain before, and they always kick ass. I've searched in the usual places (Dime & PLG), but can't find anything there....

BoldCaptain and his crew recorded MANY shows from this Coachella...he also did Kraftwerk in 04 and the Chemical Brothers in 05 at Coachella.

This is an audience recording but he's got some magic engineering that's for sure.
