depends on which version of 92-02 you have....the basic commercial CD's all had the 7:34 mix, but the UK promo had different length mix, the 11:40 version appears on the UK promo...for some reason...

i heard NUXX first, and i thought it was awful and annoying. then i heard the original, and i thought, "wow, this is way better. why did that crappy remix become a hit?"

i still think the lyrics might be "nigger nigger white thing" cos mabye they were trying to come up with some way to insult white people, but they couldn't. and if you're drunk, you can't control your actions and you see everyone else as being wrong, so nigger nigger white thing makes more sense to me than mega mega white thing. maybe they just said that it was mega so that people wouldn't think they were being racist. which even if my theory is right, they're not, they're just showing how if you're a drunk you hate the world.

Whatever YOU may think, you are totally, utterly wrong, extraordinarily offensive and, frankly, the first person I have ever heard even allude to this potential interpretation. It may be normal for YOU to use offensive language like this when you are drunk, but that is your problem.

Well, I have to relate that I have had TWO friends that have separately thought that the lyrics were "nigger nigger white boy." When they sang their incorrect lyrics along with the song while I was playing it, I had to correct them, while incredulously laughing at their mistake.

So, while I have always heard it correctly as "mega mega white thing," apparently it is not uncommon to hear something else.

Thisthread is the first i've ever heard of confusion regarding the mega mega part of Born Slippy. I just don't understand how that could even cross one's mind, though. It's sad, really.

but seriously, though, don't get all riled up. it just makes sense to me, that when you're drunk and your friends are trying to tell you to stop, you might say something like 'shut up you crazy nigger' or 'i'm gonna beat the shit outta you, mick', and maybe what the song is saying is that drunkenness brings out the bad in us, and brings out hatred. y'all think i'm trying to be racist, but i'm really not. it's just an interpretation.
but what i can't figure out is why black people can call white people honky, and white people that know each other can call each other honky, and black people that know each other can call each other niggers, but even if your best friend is black, and you're white, and you say 'word up nigger', then it's politically incorrect. my opinion is, that race doesn't really matter. what happened with racism and all the terrible things, is mostly in the past. to me, race is just another thing like gender, religion, etc. ie: how come you can call a girl ho when you're teasing her? we should either have it all one way or all another. i'd be fine if it was politically incorrect to call anyone ANY names, to prevent someone from getting their feelings hurt. but on the same token, i think that it's actually more racist against blacks to say that you can't tease your best friend, whilest you can tease your best friend that's chinese, or turkish, or polish, etc.

Maybe it is a question of education and upbringing. My son doesn't even know what those words mean and it would never occur to him to refer to someone's race as a way of insulting him. This is because he has been brought up to transcend and ultimately respect difference, cultural, racial or otherwise. I believe Rick and Karl share those values too. Which is why I believe that, whatever you THINK you might hear, (or perhaps, even, WANT to hear in order to justify your skewed view of the things "people" might say when drunk), you are totally wrong. And yes, I still think you are being offensive. What you and your best friend say to one another is one thing. What you post on a public internet forum is quite another.
