Oh, I'll just grab it from my boxset code to have a listen - but as someone who does 99% of their listening from physical versions, it's a tough decision to decide not to buy it.

Is this a joke? Millions of people use Bandcamp. Labels like Planet Mu have their official store on Bandcamp. Peter Gabriel (and his Real World label) sell through Bandcamp. And probably about 95% of all the smaller independent labels I follow use it as their main online shop.

As mentioned earlier, if you already redeemed your box set code earlier, there's no need to dig it out again. Just go to:

Click Login in the upper-right corner, and after logging in, you will see the link to your download again without having to re-enter the code. The new (corrected) download filename is "DRIFT_Boxset-extras_June2020_FIXED.zip"

I love Bandcamp. It's been quite popular for a while and growing even more popular. I don't use iTunes. Ain't gonna drop cash on lossy variable bitrate. Bandcamp is simple, direct, and gives you options for formats.

The Bandcamp page for Rick's set originally said it included the PDF book, but now it no longer does, so I guess that was a mistake. It's still (supposedly) included with all the other Drift releases on Bandcamp.

It came with my download which was pretty great as I bought Drift on iTunes and it didn't come with the digital booklet.

Update: I figured out you can still access downloads at http://underworld.tmstor.es so I was able to download the book pdf from the album downloads.

Now I someone can figure out how to access the old, old store so I can re-download Lovely Broken Thing. I've misplaced the original zip file.....

I too am looking for the pdf of the original booklet.

I have purchased the original boxset (numbered 89), the sampler cd, the colored lp (through uwlive but there appears to be no account lookup at the moment), and the re-released boxset (through uwlive but alas, no download option).

If anyone could share your, i would greatly appreciate it.

Has anyone determined whether there is supposed to be a pdf download of the book included in the special downloads section for extended edition owners?


I don't really want to thumb through the printed format accidentally damaging the original.

Anyone have a good zip or wave file of Lovely Broken Thing? Mine repeat from the midway point and restarts JAL. Not sure why? The zip gives me the same audio as the WAV I had d/l many many years ago when I bought it. But for some reason the mp3 is fine. It's the WAV file that isn't. So strange.

So I was pleasantly surprised to see the DRIFT smaller box set with individual sleeves for the discs come up. I know larger artwork generally trumps, but I was more interested in getting the 24-bit files from Bandcamp! So I listed my copy of the OG box set and sold it for $300US on eBay!!!! What the...?!!! So I pre-ordered the new boxset and was very happy to get the d/l from bandcamp in 24-bit and a PDF copy of the book. That alone is totally worth the price w/out the physical box set.

I much prefer 24-bit d/l files as opposed to a physical disc these days. I wish UW would release their catalog on bandcamp in 24-bit!

Were you wanting the higher res version for the cover thumbnails? If so, the Bandcamp downloads seem to have the updated cover art in 700x700 resolution.

Actually, it was more the text i was concerned about. It was super-blurry and difficult to read. But I've just realized that apparently it's just a problem with macOS Preview. I opened up the PDF in Firefox and Chrome's built-in renderers and the text is sharp as day there.

As for the covers, I actually grabbed them all in higher resolution from Shopify already. If you go to underworldlive.com/store and open the image gallery, and open an image, then replace the resolution at the end of the image URL with something like 4000x4000, you'll get the highest (original) resolution. For example:

What I am interested in is the packshots for the individual parts in the book PDF. Some of them we hadn't seen before, like most of the Episode 1 packshots or BYTWB. And some of them are alternate versions from what we got in the weekly releases, like Pinetum and Imagine a Box. Unfortunately, those graphics are all in really low resolution within the PDF.

fyi, if you go to the individual track pages, enlarge the track artwork, then right click to open image in new tab, the resolution goes to 1200x1200. i think that's currently the highest resolution available for the new individual track artwork

Ah, I didn't realize they had the individual artwork on Bandcamp.

Actually, I know an even better trick on Bandcamp for even larger, higher quality art. This way you can get the original upload size of images, which can be quite large. Most of them are 3000 with a couple being 2000.. You'll need the web address of the image you want.

Click on the cover image you want. Then, you can right click and click "view image" or, if on phone/tablet, press and hold down on image for the "view image" option to pop up. View image will take you to image's web address.

Check out the web address up top, it's usually a letter and some numbers with an underscore (_) followed by 10 or some number.

For example, Another Silent Way...
https://f4.bcbits.com/img/a2373630440_10.jpg

Now change the "_10" to just "_0" like this...
https://f4.bcbits.com/img/a2373630440_0.jpg

You will now get the original upload size JPG. Another Silent Way cover is actually 3000x3000

Now, change the underscore number to a 1, like this
https://f4.bcbits.com/img/a2373630440_1.jpg

When you save it, it'll be a 3000x3000 PNG, but a larger file size compared to JPG.

Go get those individual track covers in even bigger size ;)

just popping in to say the version of "Seven Music Drone" here is incredible, if the Drift version was like this it would've been one of the best tracks
