Re: Tickets for Royal Festival Hall show - spares?

I was #50 in the queue at about 5 to 10.
Eventually got onto the site just gone 10am, Showed 11 tickets left in the Balcony. picked the last two together on the map and put them in my basket- too late, gone.

Kept refreshing, at about 10 past 10 it showed tickets available again, didn't mess about and just went straight to the 'best available tickets' option. Managed to get one.

No luck at all.

Anyone got a spare? I'd happily come down on my own for the gig, get a hotel and then go home after.

Imagine they'd do something like playing a Spoonman/Spoon Deep mini mix which would be amazing.

Lets hope theres some competitions somewhere for this.

Or someone to record it.

I reckon there will be more shows eventually. They'll probably be playing it for at least two years if they continue with this tribute act incarnation. Perhaps the encore will be a half hour of new stuff. Or maybe KoS and NUXX with the possibility of Moaner.

Whatever, they'll be playing some top tunes at the RFH. Enjoy the show folks.

Yes, those who managed to get tickets and have the gear have THE DUTY not only to record this but to make the neatest gig record of all UW gigography ever. For the sake of solidarity with those who can't be there!

Re: Tickets for Royal Festival Hall show - spares?

I have my phone and a camera that only does up to 720p, will get a replacement battery for it. Not sure if it'll like the loudness of the show though, my phone seems to be okay with that sort of thing however. But I worry about it's memory usage. I will be recording at least some of it, if I can't manage to record the whole thing.

Hopefully others will record too. (Maybe we could assemble a video from different recordings using the best audio source? Who knows)

Once tickets are added to the basket they are there for the duration of a timed session, the person has that time to complete payment otherwise they go back to available. Payments also get refused for all sorts of reasons.

Seems to happen to me a lot when buying tickets.

That was the problem, you see. I had a meeting at 10:00 so I was already late.
Today I hadn´t even time to think about visiting the Southbank/Royal Festival Hall whatever site.
But hey, somebody need to pay the bills for the Super Deluxe, right? So my work have to get the priority :)

…and will I ever try again? Nope :)

They might add another date - it would make sense as there is clearly the demand and it would appease all the people who pre-ordered and didn't get the email/didn't succeed in buying tickets in the five minute window they were available each day...

Re: Tickets for Royal Festival Hall show - spares?

Sorry to hear so many people missed out, I hope they add another date - preferably somewhere bigger and without seats.

I was spectacularly lucky, decided not to blow £65 on Southbank membership and took my chances on the preorder link at 9:59am next day. I refreshed once because the site said I was too early, then clicked 'best available'... and ended up with a seat on the front row.

Re: Tickets for Royal Festival Hall show - spares?

I didn't have any trouble with the UWlive pre-sale. Got the email but was shocked by how many tickets were already gone -- the entire front section. We ended up in row DD. Hard to believe they were all bought by the venue "members" and in the few seconds before I got in. Definitely suspect scalpers. It's truly disgusting how difficult it's become to buy tickets for gigs these days.

Re: Tickets for Royal Festival Hall show - spares?

Tried in the presale, then in the general sale... no dice :(
Would have been nice if they'd reserved some tickets for the long time dirts here, like they did with the Cocoon gig. Hopefully they'll rethink this and add some more performances.

Here's hoping for at least one extra date, bearing in mind that they arranged 3 dates at the Roundhouse October 07.

How much should I pay for a Royal Festival Hall ticket?

I missed out the ticket sale entirely due to the ineptitude of who ever Underworld uses to sell their pre-release stuff. To be honest I probably wouldn't have got ticket as they went so fast. But still, DubNoBass was such a formative album for me, I'd love to go.

So, the question is. How much should I pay for a ticket? How much would you pay?

Re: Tickets for Royal Festival Hall show - spares?

Well, I assume this is a long shot, but if anyone has a spare and wouldn't mind helping out a longtime fan from the states I would mightily appreciate it. Looking at the ticket sites now everything is over $300, which in addition to the airfare from Boston, feels mighty steep. Anyone able to help a former dirtyforum member out?

Oh awesome! I am going to be there on my own. Flying over from Dublin for the day and will be heading home the next day. Would love to take part in a meetup before the gig or something if it is happening. I think I am up in the circle near the front left facing the stage... I think. Tickets arrived the other day.

Can't wait.

Mmm - awesome indeed!

Re: Tickets for Royal Festival Hall show - spares?

Hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by posting this here. Sorry if so. :)

I have 2 tickets for Oct 11 at the Royal Festival Hall in London. They're rear stalls, Row DD and I have the tickets at home. I cannot now go. Which I am gutted about.

So, I have two choices. I could try to sell the tickets on the reseller sites (current prices for tickets in this area ludicrous plus even more ludicrous booking fees) or I could do something better, like sell the tickets privately and donate the money raised from one of them to Oscars Fighting Fund - a fund raising site set up by a friend of mine whose 9yo son died earlier this year from a brain tumour - see here http://www.gofundme.com/fightingforoscar for more details. Oscar's dad, Ian is OK with me doing this as they are trying to raise funds for a charity called HeadSmart to raise awareness.

I prefer the latter. So, if you (or someone you know) wants to go to see Underworld get them to get in touch with me - easiest is a DM here or through http://about.me/grahame.whitfield ...the latter will show you that I'm a real live person!

This way, you/someone you know get/s to see something marvellous at a lower price than they'd pay on ViaGoGo or StubHub, I make some money on my ticket that can go towards my saving fund for a TV that I can probably end up watching the gig on at some point (!) and some money goes to a great cause.

I reckon something around £135 per ticket fully inclusive incl registered delivery is a good deal all round. If I can't sell them via this route in the next few days, I'll go down the reseller route and donate the price I get for one ticket. But I thought I'd see if this route was better.

Or make me an offer - Higher or Lower! You can pay the price of one ticket direct to Oscar's fund...and we can arrange how to send the rest to me directly...and how you can best get your tickets..in a way that we both feel happy with! If you prefer, I'll list them on a reseller site and tell you as I do so you can buy them there. If youre near Sheffield, I can probably drop them round to you.

Again, sorry if this is breaking any rules. I'm a newbie here but a longstanding UW addict (and a gutted one at that).

Spare ticket for Royal Festival Hall show

Due to a family health crisis type situation I am unable to attend the London Royal Festival Hall Dubnobasswithmyheadman show next Saturday. I therefore have ONE spare balcony ticket to sell, for which I want nothing more than face value plus costs.

I don't care about seeing proof that you pre-ordered the Dubnobass reissue, the fact that you're on this fan site is enough for me. My only condition is that you registered on here before I posted this message.

I've attached a picture of my ticket for proof. The seat is E42, which is a balcony seat which should have a good view. Obviously you'll be sitting on your own, but I was OK with that so you should be too :-)

I paid a total of £40.81 for my ticket, so I'm asking for £47 via PayPal and that will cover Royal Mail Special Delivery so you definitely get the ticket in time.

If you want it, post a reply saying so, and I'll pick one at random from the first page at about 7pm tonight, and then PM you to let you know and arrange payment and get your address. If you're not happy about sending me money then we can talk about doing it through an eBay listing or something where you're completely protected, although I think PayPal should cover that anyway.

Re: Tickets for Royal Festival Hall show - spares?

Thanks Stimpee :) i'm doing that.

Does anyone know about support act/what time underworld are taking the stage?

I'm only having to sell as i wont be able to make it until 9.30, i contacted the venue and they said there is no support act and underworld are going on at 7.30.

I found this odd, especially as it says underworld + support on the ticket.

Anyone know?
