Same set as DC! But, a gloriously fun time!!!! I was close to the front, and it really felt like EVERYONE was having an incredible time.
I'm concerned about how many times my gaping, blissed-out maw will show up on youtube, though, as a bunch of people around me felt compelled to do the "oh shit lets slowly spin in a circle and keep the video camera-phone recording!!1" trick. Crowd highlight for me was the guy who had some scrolling-text app on his iphone... punched in SURFS UP! during Diamond Jigsaw and held it high for all to read. So good. Many many thanks Underworld! Nice mtg the crew - great show.
For me, some of the new stuff really worked & some didn't so much. The classics all pretty much killed imo. Rick sang on a few songs - I thought he only sang on ALAF. Anyway... had a great time. |

ok, got back from the show..
well, since i knew what to expect.. i was in more of a 'documentary' mode.. it's not the best footage, but i have about 1/2 the show...or maybe a little bit more..mostly the begininng and ending.. OF COURSE, DIRTY EPIC!!! 1st ) its just a simple canon powershot, so don't expect great results.. i filmed half in 640x480 mode, and some in 720p (1280x720) mode.. 2) of course i was bumped a lot, i'm not that tall, and a lot of the footage is hands, heads, and other people filiming (of course)... but looking at it now.. .it's more of my view (from near the soundboard area).. being up front wouldn't have helped.. more bumping etc... and yes a lot of crowd noise 3) that being said, the audio is actually pretty decent.. i was surprised at how good it came out.... and the underworld sound guys did a great job of not making it too loud.. i'll post youtube links for those that aren't seeing them... otherwise ***** SPOILERS ****************** since its the same show, you'll know exactly what to expect... later -1 |

In all honesty, I skip Scribble when listening to the new album, but live, Scribble is off the fucking hook! I absolutely loved it, especially the drop after the spoken word part. The ah-ah ah-ah layering, while simple, really added something special.
