the 2nd ambient song from HMH is Back in the Fears.

New from PFE:

Vanilla Monkey
Flatz
Play Pig

from here:

"P"
Bullet
Bullet Lullaby
Bullet Train To Kyoto
Darc
Duty Paid
Flower Prayer Section 2
Gallery Pearl
Girl Poem
Horse Snake Rabbit Ladder
Music Box
Ocean
Phonology Audio
Sleeping Eye

Not sure if these are new or Underworld, but they are credited to Karl Hyde/Rick Smith.

Re: keeping track on the new tracks....

Also from Tokyo:

Morrocan Meatballs
Simple Distinctive
Aquafunk
Small Concker and a twix
Yard Beat

makes you wonder if some of the other short improvs in older shows have names.

not sure what happened to the link, but some / most of these are either gallery installation pieces for tomato or anti rom tracks, i think...still i'll add them to my tracklisting list...if you can revive the link it would be nice to see who was listing them

Re: keeping track on the new tracks....

If you just search for Karl Hyde under Songwriter you'll get the list.

Re: keeping track on the new tracks....

am i right in thinking that the 'unknown tracks' are Tomato based pieces...?

anyone have any definite sources for these tracks...?

i know a couple come from WISP....

Re: keeping track on the new tracks....

(bumpers!)

Dug this thread out because i was trying to compile for myself all the tracks from the 2005 concerts that have been "named"/played live, but not released on the RiverRuns. Here's what i have, corrct me where wrong please!

"You Do Scribble" (multiple shows)
"Yard Beat" (multiple shows)
"Small Conker and a Twix" (Electraglide, etc)
"Moroccan Meatballs" (Electraglide Tokyo)
"Simple Distinctive (Floating World)" (Tokyo)
"Aquafunk (a funky hardhouse)" (Tokyo)
"Shake That Higher" (Bennicassim)
"Hard Vibe" (Bennicassim)
"Globe" (sophia)
"Five Ft. 5" (sophia)
HMH #1
HMH #3
Osaka Improv #1
Osaka Improv #2 ( i think this might be "Simple Distinctive"?)
Osaka Improv #3
Osaka Improv #4 (pre-Jumbo)

Note that HMH #2 turned out to be "Back in the Fears", so it was released. Anyone ID other "unnamed improvs"?

Yikes, it's been a great year for new improved music from UW! Remember how for the whole AHDO, there were only 2 or 3 improv pieces used again and again ("Beep Beep", anyone?)

Re: keeping track on the new tracks....

You forgot the new Zürich tracks :p
I like especially untitled track #4... nice drums!

Re: keeping track on the new tracks....

I am dying to know at least the name of the first track played at HMH...let alone getting a studio version of it.

TheBang 02-28-2006 08:18 PM

Re: keeping track on the new tracks....

HMH Juanita is actually Five Ft./Juanita
HMH #2 is Morrocan Meatballs/Osaka Improv #2
HMH #3 is Back in the Fears
Osaka Improv #1 is Simple Distinctive.
Osaka Improv #4 is Hard Vibe

Zurich has the most unnamed tracks.

Since we're sticklers for details, note that everything on uwlive.com spells it "Morrocan," not "Moroccan."

I just realised this heavily vocoded voice was Rick :o

Is it against the rules when i put links to those two tracks here? I edited them a little bit... the bootleg sounded really terrible but now it's great!:)

Re: keeping track on the new tracks....

Nice work! Yeah, my boot of Zurich X-Tra isn't so clear or loud.

You know, the improvs you sent above, and others from the 2005 shows, remind me a lot of the sorts of extended drumlooping/jamming of the earliest shows by UW mkII...1994-1995. Back then, they'd jam on "Burts" or "Dark Hard" for 15 minutes at a go. Thee longish improvs remind me of those shows.

p.s. just listed to Zurich show again...the improv between "You Do Scribble" and "Born Slippy NUXX" is essentially "Dub Shepherd" with drums. Or did we already know that? :p ;)

stimpee 03-01-2006 06:55 PM

Re: keeping track on the new tracks....

posting a track or two from live bootlegs is acceptable yes but this aint a trading place. youre providing people with 2 new tracks here though. At RTSR we have been working on getting a lossless version but to no avail (yet).

Yeah, the Dub Shepherd part we figured out, but we separated out the drums before it as a separate, unidentified track.

Re: keeping track on the new tracks....

just for my own purposes,

i've made my own list that is a subset
that includes some (but not all) of the
tracks mentioned in the thread..

i'm not including the tracks from radio
shows, or downloadable (unless its
riverrun)...however, i did include
tracks from the tokyo live CD,
as that is official..

http://www.dirty.org/forums/showthread.php?t=3125

please feel free to add/correct tracks, and
i will credit you..

thanx

Did anyone happen to write down the whole list? Cause, although they were there last fall, the list is now gone. :( I was just gonna write it down...

Borialis. What do we know about this track then?
I have it on Rotterdam CD but is there a longer version?

BrotherLovesDub 03-25-2008 08:52 AM

Re: keeping track on the new tracks....

it's also on Roundhouse 28 w/ Spoonman, on Amsterdam w/ Crocodile and Manchester w/ Shake That Higher and Crocodile. Borialis doesn't play longer than a couple minutes on any version though.

Borialis is up on Darren Price's myspace page, so i guess it's another of his tracks.

Re: keeping track on the new tracks....

is it just me... or does Borialis sound a lot like the original version of "Always Loved a Film" ?

like the earlier, slower version from Electraglide Festival; Tokyo, Japan not the one from the Dirty Radio Broadcast 04/11/05

Re: keeping track on the new tracks....

At Global Gathering, Rick was singing away at one point on something i didn't know, and its nothing that seemed to have surfaced since. That was before we had anything from OWB.

OK, so it turns out that most or all of these tracks are from wordimagesoundplay. How do I know? Well, I've got most of them now.

Re: keeping track on the new tracks....

Yes a lot of this stuff should be preserved. The WISP especially.

So, out of the 2005-2008 shows, has most of it been released now officially? (even on LiveHereNow). Pricey had enough material for an album...
