owen looks like an astronaut in that photo because they were born a little early (33 weeks) and he needed a cpap to help put some positive air flow on his lungs and encourage him to breathe. not even 24 hours later the cpap was removed and both boys are breathing beautifully on their own.

still waiting to go home but they're getting stronger by the day.
flickr photostream here. today my husband edited together a video of footage from their first week on earth. he did it on his own without any suggestions from me. what music did he choose to put behind the video? "to heal." he said he couldn't imagine any other piece of music being more "right." i knew i married the right man. |
