hmm...

what I downloaded must've been a fake, using the Coachella show as a source for the audio, then the person must've tried seperating tracks in a similar way as the official release

but - I will say, I am kinda pissed how many overly positive reviews I've read about Daft Punk's live shows, especially in Mixmag. Over the past couple of issues, I've read reader responses that were like - dude, it's the same show over and over and over again! And Mixmag basically closes it's eyes, plugs its ears and goes "i'm not listening I'm not listening I'm not listening'

(if that makes any sense)

there was leak saying it was the "deluxe version" when it was actually just an audience recording of the Vegoose set.
the 2006 shows are different than the 2007 shows in that the 2007 shows include Burnin' as well as the encore, and other less noticeable changes here and there.

daft punks live show was on a similar level as Kraftwerk. it doesn't matter what they actually do on stage, seeing it happen in front of you with those visuals is transcendental when you're there and buying into it. this same experience happens to the majority of the crowd every night of the tour. it doesn't matter that the soundtrack is almost identical night for night.

lol me too :)
Saw it in the shop today and grabbed it, not knowing there was a special edition. Ah well, I'll download the encore track somewhere later.

you know... I wouldn't have a problem with Daft Punk going the Kraftwerk route, if it wasn't for the lack of praise that UW's US tour got... not that anything bad was said - just that nothing has been said - know what I mean?

and if you REALLY want to get 'knit picky' - when you think about it DP's pyramid wasn't much different from the Chem's 'disc thingy' on the "Come With Us US Tour", and the lights weren't too much of a step beyond some other bands I've seen before either

I will give them, though - that they were able to tap into something incredible (that certain 'x factor' if that makes any sense), and that the Seattle show is probably one of the best concerts I've been to ever

finally bought this today, in a lovely booklet cover with bonus cd - very nice listening indeed. not as strong as the '97 one (they rush 'rollin and scratchin' and 'alive' too much for that) - but that's picking nits - cracking release!
