My pick would be Boredoms - Cheeba, although anything off Pop Tatari would qualify. Maybe one of the most intense songs I've ever heard... |
Re: Most weird track
something off the last Scott Walker album
or by the Thai Elephant Orchestra |

Re: Most weird track
I forget the artist name, but I've got a track that's called "Oh look there goes Concorde again" and it's mostly just a girl repeating that line over and over again, with a very loose 'song' going on behind it
there's also Lou Reed's "Metal Machine Music" - yea, I actually bought it, just to see if it really was like that ...someone's already mentioned "Hana".... |

Re: Most weird track
well - I had just finished reading "Psychotic Reactions and Carburetor Dung" by Lester Bangs; and he was (if I remember correctly) absolutely obsessed with Lou, and especially that album...
I don't think I made it past a few seconds (...maybe a minute or two) of any of the tracks. Now it just sits amongst the collection. People browsing sometimes notice the disc, b/c it's sortof holographic & shiny (it was the anniversary - 20th maybe? release) |

that sounds pretty intriguing, actually. come on... really? |
Re: Most weird track
dude - it's nothing more than a full album of nothing but static, distortion, reverb and noise
no melody, no repetition, nothing but pure noise seriously |
Re: Most weird track
I once dated a girl who made a masterful mixed tape -- beats changing pace on a dime, songs slamming into songs, and then all of a sudden right at the peak of sensory synchronicity, everything stopped for a spoken word track that turned out to be andy warhol recording himself (an only himself) having a phone conversation. the only words in the whole track were variations of "unh-huh, yeah. unh-huh. unh-huh. yeah. yeah unh-huh" and so on and so on four about three minutes. pretty dang WEIRD and amazing.
