dear aNT. people are spending a lot of time going through 4 or 5 diff. recordings in an attempt to piece together a skip free version. i'm not suggesting you hand over the masters but if you could hand over the masters, i know of a few people who would appreciate not having to listen to 20+hrs of recorded audio to get a decent quality 4hr file.

perhaps a rip of the copy from the desk could miraculously make its way onto RTSR?

yeah, the 160 kbps version has some skips, especially during skyscraper, but to say it was "full of skips" is a bit of an overstatement.

OK - I admit that my initial msg, saying that it was full of skips, was a bit melodramatic, but to be honest, it being a digital medium, I wasn't expecting any! - afterall, this isn't a vinyl record. I confess to being a bit compulsive obsessive when it comes to quality of anything - I go through a pile of books in the bookshop in order to select the mint copy, and one skip on an audio track is one too many for me! Oh well, it is only on 2 tracks (mmm skyscraper and cowgirl) and there are perfect versions elsewhere.
