yeah, but it's not on there anyway. the TVT records CD has the 8:25 version. the 12" record has the 8:55 version.

well, anyway, to make this perfect i'll need a lossless source for the 12" version of cowgirl, in the first place.
secondly, i'll need someone to give me suggestions on what to do.
in that version, i fade out the original at the end of the intro, and then fade in the 12" version. maybe i should do the fade at the end?

whoa. i tried doing the crossover near the end before the long fadeout, and it sounds WAY better. see if you can see where the album version ends and the 12" version begins. start playing it around 6:00 (or maybe 5:30?) i'll post the new version up top in a few minutes (once i upload it)

edit: rapidshare is pretty slow today. this might take a while.

downloading now...

i salute you for trying to fix up what you perceive to be a failing of the album outtro, but i guess i'm not hearing what's so drastically different about 'em. i have the Dirty/Cowgirl EP and of course Dubno, but never was like, "WOW, those are really different endings!". Maybe i'm just not listening carefully? In contrast, when 1992-2002 came out, the subtle differences in length and beats in "Push Upstairs", "Moaner", "Born Slippy NUXX" and "Jumbo" were fairly apparent.

so wait...

you do - or don't have the Dirty Epic/ Cowgirl EP? B/c that one is the 'full length' version of Cowgirl...

but whatever... I'm in the same boat as holden...

i dunno, i guess it was just because i heard the 12" version first, and when i bought the album, i thought "what a crappy edit!". on the other hand, i heard the album version of push upstairs first, and when i bought 1992-2002, i didn't notice it was different at all until i checked the song lengths. i guess it's just perception.

& thanks for the link stimpee. i'll be buying that soon.
