Hard to tell, but guessing he's maybe thinking of experiencing early Burial releases before that actual album came out. That was being recalled in 2013, so might be mixing up timelines. Sounds like he means RiverRun, since referencing multiple download-only albums and they were experimental in the way he's taking about. Thought his take on off-key dirty vocals was pertinent, though.

He's talking about being in Sanitago, Chile, in April 2008. We know Santiago Cuatro came out of that hotel room, but that didn't come out until several years after that interview. It's possible that he's talking about the Phonestrap and/or 020202 downloads, which came out in October 2008. It's possible some part of those was recorded there. Although most of the Phonestrap versions had already been released on the website by then in 2007.

Another possibility is that he misspoke/confused the download releases with the radio shows. There are definitely several tracks from Santiago that appeared on the 2008 radio shows, some of which still haven't been officially released.
