Re: What's next for UW?
 

I predict more and more work in other media, particularly in the lucrative world of film. It's difficult to believe that Underworld weren't a little 'over it' when they handed their most recent album over to other producers, a suspicion that's compounded by the formalizing of their last tour i.e. traditional setlists and arrangements. Even the Book of Jam project fell by the wayside. I don't mean to sound disparaging. On the contrary, what we've historically loved about Underworld just seems like an awful lot of work, and Rick and Karl have delivered more than just about anybody else I can think of when you take it all into account -- and they're an indie band, too.

Maybe another album or two, but again with some collaborators helping out with the heavy lifting; more film scores; more archival stuff like Bungalow With Stairs; maybe some more art stuff like the NYC Art Jam but I tend to doubt it; more digital exclusives; smaller tours of certain areas. These guys will be putting out music in some form or another forever, but if Underworld Mk 3 is didn't end with the release of Barking, I'd say it transitioned to 4 with the Olympics for sure.
