Re: Pink Orb
Not everybody works their way through the 'classic' 'essential' artists.

Re: Pink Orb
I've also never been a huge Pink Floyd fan...
Even when Roger Waters played Coachella (he was the Sunday headliner)... my friend and I left early and were like "meh - we don't really need to stay all day just to see him play Pink Floyd songs" I will give you though... PF do have a few good songs here and there. Kinda like Orbital (except, of course, PF were more prolific and made more great songs) |

Thanks for info, it looks interesting. |
Re: Pink Orb
I eagerly bought this and listened to it a bunch of times, trying so hard to like it. But really, it's just a let down. It sounds like they got Gilmore in for one unplanned session where he played a few grooves, and then they stretched that little bit of unrefined guitar work through a couple tediously long, uninspired electronic tracks. Dammit. What a wasted opportunity.

Re: Pink Orb
Did you read how they did the album? Patterson and GIlmore were never together. Think Patterson just got the guitar parts. It was put together pretty haphazardly.

Re: Pink Orb
I pretty much like it. The second half kinda drags, but overall I find it to be great late night listening music.
I want to know what's going on with the "High Noon" single that keeps getting pushed back??? |

Re: Pink Orb
what I don't get is why they didn't separate the album into different tracks?
I mean - there are obvious stop/start points, and even a tracklisting... I probably would have listened to it much more, had I been able to listen to 'the good parts' without having to skim through large sections again and again |
