Also, it looks like the CD was released yesterday. The price looks to be around £10.00 everywhere.

Down to $28 on Amazon with updated delivery maybe now on my birthday (Aug 15th). "Not Yet Shipped" Booooooo.:(

No PMs yet (fuckers) so loving the odd Youtube that doesn't get squashed:

Frankly, it's cheaper to order it on Amazon.co.uk and have it shipped from there to the U.S. (about $17 shipped), than it is to buy it on Amazon.com.

I'm not sure if this CD is going to get a US domestic release.

Yeah, I'm having a hard time finding anything from the original in it.

Also, I don't think Confusion, Dark & Long, or Dirty Epic were actually played during the Parade.

Went back an was browsing the Parade of Nations part of BBC broadcast and 'Confusion the Waitress' was played over the PA starting at Kuwait and for about 3 and 1/2 minutes. Probably was when NBC decided to go to commercial.

Trying to find if the others were played.

Good call, cancelled on .com and ordered through co.uk. Was slightly over $18 with shipping and everything, but still at least ten bucks off! :)

Done! Thanks for the heads up :)

Re: Isles of Wonder - Music for the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games

So, I went over the broadcast, and here's the actual playlist for the Parade of Nations:

1. The Chemical Brothers - Galvanize
2. High Contrast - Moon Watcher
3. Underworld - Always Loved a Film (Instrumental)
4. Underworld - Rez (High Contrast Remix)
5. Underworld - Deep Arch (Darren Price Remix)
6. Pet Shop Boys - West End Girls
7. Underworld - Minneapolis (High Contrast Remix)
8. Adele - Rolling in the Deep
9. The Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive
10. High Contrast - Strutter
11. High Contrast - Reach
12. High Contrast - Ghost Dance
13. Underworld - Confusion The Waitress (Darren Price & High Contrast Remix)
14. Wretch 32 feat. L - Traktor
15. Underworld - Dark & Long (Dark Train) (Remix)
16. Fuck Buttons - Olympians (High Contrast Remix)
17. Electric Light Orchestra - Mr. Blue Sky
18. High Contrast - Can't Stop This Fire
19. Underworld - Moon in Water (Instrumental)
20. Underworld - Crocodile (High Contrast Remix)
21. U2 - Where the Streets Have No Name (High Contrast Remix)
22. U2 - Beautiful Day
23. High Contrast - For Years
24. High Contrast - Emotional Vampire 120
25. David Bowie - Heroes
26. The Chemical Brothers - Galvanize

Obviously, there were some changes from the album order and choices. Dirty Epic and Dark & Long (and The Long Way Home) were not used. There were a few additional songs that I couldn't Shazam or SoundHound either. Because they were instrumental and in the vein of the other songs, I labeled them as unknown High Contrast songs.

As Troy McClure pointed out, Confusion the Waitress was about 3 or 4 minutes. I noticed several other tracks were longer than the album too, like Dark Train (about 2 minutes longer), Crocodile (about 1 minute longer) and others. I think the only Underworld songs we got in non-trimmed form on the album were Rez and Minneapolis.

The parade lasted 1 hour 40 minutes, and the album is 1 hour 15 minutes, so I'm sure the trims and omissions were due to time constraints (and licensing costs for non-Underworld/High Contrast songs).

Also, I found out the album is getting a US domestic release on Decca, but not until August 28. So, I'm guessing NBC had a hand in the release. ;)

High Contrast confirmed on his blog that this track is called "Strutter" and should be seeing a release soon.
Thanks for having the dedication to make this list!
