Hidden Heros... just wonderful

Queen... my first love in music, as a 12 year old kid I had all their albums on Vinyl, 22 years later I still have all these records - treasured pieces of nostalgia from my childhood. To this day I still get shivers listening to all their work, Queen I, II, Shear Heart Attack, A Night at the Opera, A Day at the Races, such an amazing catalogue of music - those guys could rock and break your heart within the time it takes to flip a record.

Great to see my 2 favourite bands in the world referenced right here :)
Nice nod of the cap there Karl - especially as today (5th Sep) would have been Freddie's 65th birthday, thank you.

Was intrigued by Karl's mention yesterday of Johannes Schreiter's Blue Chapel. He'd suggested posting a link if anyone found one, so check out the third photo down: http://www.craftingglass.com/stained...n-glass-art-be

Beautiful space. I imagine it would be even more vibrant and immersive in person.

Here's an article on another set of Schreiter's blue windows:

So was anyone thinking of Schreiter in doing the artwork for Beacoup Fish, I wonder? Or was it Yves Klein or simply the idea of a deep, watery blue? (Not trying to be too literal with this. Just curious.)

Anyway, gorgeous work and I'm grateful to Karl for the introduction.

"The arc of an arm, the twist of a wrist, a mark that describes a series of notes erupting from the subconscious."

When I saw this in Amsterdam last friday I surely thought I was dreaming but no, this was just another expensive reality.
Twist of a wrist for sure, unless you are an excellent skater. :D

I too would have been interested in picking up 12" copies. Alas!

This part is what really excites me:
Quote:

Ahead of a flurry of activity in 2012 to mark the twentieth anniversary of their first proper single release, Underworld announce the release of two compilations of singles, rarities and collaborations.
Quote:

Underworld will announce plans for 2012 in the run up to Christmas.
I have to say I'm looking forward to putting the Barking era behind us.
