i only hope that the apparant debacle that this has become will not discourage uw to release cds (or 10 dollar copies off the net) of all their shows they now play live (that aren't at festivals i suppose).

please people read the thread already! Yannick specifically said that there will be TWO batches of 50 to go around this time. The second one will come after the easter break (so that's next week). Sorry but all the info is there if you just look for it.

admittedly, it never occured to me that the selling of these discs was against some copyright of the cds, as i just assumed that R&K were putting more copies out to Yan and Mal to redistribute. i mistakenly assumed that by asking how many people wanted them, that the intention was to get to those people directly. I think it was clear from the very beginning that there was only a limited number of these discs made and that they were specifically meant to be sold at Electraglide. All subsequent events can be retraced to those two facts. I really don't see how you could have missed that, but if you did, fair enough. I guess it explains the way you reacted to the whole thing. You've allso been continuesly implying that people who managed to get this cd earlier had some kind of advance warning from secret sources which is just not true. Most of us were just lucky. It's not about things being easy to say. It's about this being the only possibly reaction. You have to wait for your chance because that's what everyone else did too. Soem people will always be at the right place and the right time when you are not. Another time it may be the other way around.

i don't know how many people come to Electraglide, but i'm sure not every single one would have purchased the cd (although obviously some clever ones bought multiple copies). I seem to recall the original number that was made was something like 2000, but i'm not really sure about that.
In any case, there's leftovers, so grab 'em while you can ;)
