got three i cant decide from. they're all my flav today Byetone - Grand Style. pretty disappointed in 'death of a typographer' overall, but this is the best cut from it, and it's quite good. Lindstrom - Grand Ideas. um. i completely didnt notice the title similarity until i typed it out. huh. cool. anyway, it took some convincing but i'm really loving the album this came from. it's... delightful Murcof - Recuerdos. based on my love of the jacaszek record this year, someone scoffed and recommended murcof's 'remembranza' as being much better. now this is a good album, but i'm going to sound the buzzer here. this track, however, is the best one and really amazing. |

Having a real retro week this week:
The Chauffeur - Duran Duran Was trying to find the original vid of this and I can't, which will be a disappointment to all you lads cos it had some hot chixx0rz in it. :p Edit: Trivia point for film buffs: The "As the lights go down" movie and several of DD's subsequent videos were directed/choreographed by Russell Mulcahy, who then went on to direct Highlander. |
