OWB is PCM, The Bells.. is AC3.

PCM would fit in around 1.5GB on a single layer disc leaving just under 3GB for just over an hour of video @ 5 ~ 6 MB/sec.

True, I forgot it was just 2-channel PCM for 1 hour of video, so it would be fine, especially on a dual-layer disc.

What is this double vinyl release? Two vinyl discs? Is one the album and the other one the alternate album? I'm not sure what it is.

For people buying the vinyls, I take it you'll buy the CD too, right? CD or iTunes release for the top quality; vinyl for your record collection, right?

It'd be buying the album twice. If some people are doing that, I won't feel as weird for getting the box set and then the JP release (still haven't decided if I'll buy the JP release, though). Might as well, though. I have a collection of UW discs (not nearly as extensive as some collections from some dirts here, that is for sure :o).

Is anyone one else here getting the box set and then also getting the JP release or the vinyl release as well?

The vinyl is 9 tracks, same as the standard CD.

I have the vinyl ordered because it is analogue, the box for the extra CD and will be ordering the JP version at some point. I also have the CD & CD/DVD versions ordered for friends via the ticket bundle.

I wish thinking of starting a vinyl collection once (recently, actually). However, Dubnobass and STITI are expensive in vinyl nowadays, as are some of my other favorite albums. Well, at least I own all the Underworld albums and other releases by them on CD. Yay.

Have been taking a break from UW for a while, but after coming back to this board today and spending the last hour reading through this thread while re-listening to OWB and the 2008 Brixton show, I'm all back and ready for more!

Must say I almost signed UW off for good when I heard Scribble the first time, but reading this thread has re-ignited my long lasting Underworld fire. Can't say I like Scribble anymore today, but definately looking forward to the album now.

Ooh... Moon In Water is cool. Different than the broadcast version but very cool. Sounds like a beat really kicks in at the end of the clip. Hoping it keeps building.

Based on samples/things heard before, only thing I'm not overly sure of is Moon In Water. Loved DJ from the original bootleg so this aint to bad for me.

The sound quality was bad. But I like what I hear from that sampler. I'm going to like this album. I'm also very interested in hearing the second CD from the box set. I hope that Strumpet Groove and Diamond Jigsaw sound almost exactly like the live versions we've heard.

between stars really has a kind of DM mood to it. i'm loving it all except louisiana, because of the halloween effect on the voice.

I'm afraid I have to come down on the opposing side of Louisiana. I didn't really like it as "Jumping Then Cran" and I don't like it now (based on this preview). Totally inappropriate closer to this high energy release. The closer should have been a banging, Underworld-produced track that would show they don't need Darren Emersons or Dubfires or Paul Van Dyks to make dance music. Louisiana is a B-side if there ever was one.

this is a lot better than i expected. diamond jigsaw and between stars especially (even though the sample of BS on amazon was pretty bad. i guess it picks up). hamburg hotel is going to be the best though. bird 1 sounds a bit neutered but still good. ALAF still leaves me a bit nonplussed but it's perfectly acceptable. grace is good. really i guess the only outright terrible is going to come from the last two tracks.

neat. i thought i wasnt going to care about this at all.

I like the sound of the last two tracks. I think I'll like them.

Bird 1 doesn't sound as dynamic as Strumpet, but I have hope that Strumpet Groove will be more dynamic than Bird 1. I'm so excited for both the album and "CD 2" of the box set. I'm eager to hear Simple Peal, too. I really like Simple Peal 1.

I like AHDO, but it's my least favorite album by UW. I am sure I'll like this album more than AHDO, but I dunno if it'll beat OWB. It has the potential to, but I have to have the album and listen to it extensively before I can see how it stacks up to any of their other albums.

Wow, that preview sampler sounds awesome. Only track I'm not liking is Louisiana (which sucks, because I usually love UW's slower tracks).
