Re: collectors' corner

ok, this is odd.

saw this on the comments on discogs:
----------------------------------------------------
for 'confusion the waitress' acetate
https://www.discogs.com/Underworld-C...elease/5080225

this user claims to have it also:
https://www.discogs.com/user/bsimaodo

they only have 2 items listed in their collection.

so do they have a bootleg, or something else.

People put stuff in their collections that they don't actually have. Could have been a misclick too.

That's very true. I do that, if I have an mp3 or a flac recording of the item in question. In most cases, I don't necessarily need (or even want) the actual physical item, but having the music itself is enough for me.

yikes.

i only try to match what is exactly there for my collection.
there are digital versions for some of the releases if they were official.

it throws off other people, when they are trying to ascertain who
actually owns the items.

then again, this is a user submitted database, and they gave me
a lot of grief, because it was web submission, and i didn't own the
item. but i didn't put that i owned it, because that would have
really been confusing to others.

I owned the original, obviously, that’s my label photo on discogs, sold it to mark3, so in effect he is the one and only owner.

This original acetate was made exclusively for Darren Emerson for the cream separates CD. It is possible that two copies were made, but believe the person I bought it off originally said Darren gave his copy to him. Either way I suspect that Mark74 is Mark3 on here?

Yes mark3 is mark74 on discogs.

Re: collectors' corner

I've asked this before but hope springs eternal.

Circa release I bought a really rare and massive Beaucoup Fish poster. It's about 40 inches wide. Sadly I didn't take good care of it. It's pretty trashed. I'd be willing to spend quite a lot for one in good condition, suitable for framing. I know the chances of anyone having it are slim, much less parting with it. But just putting that out there!

khouri - keep an eye on this seller, as they often have us posters. Currently there's this fantastic dubno one (I have one, it's very nice indeed) and 2 stiti ones. Good luck https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F173831993368

Got this from a charity shop today, https://i.imgur.com/dIBa3Bvl.jpg - £8 - though Discogs reckons it's only worth a fiver, I shoulda haggled. https://www.discogs.com/Underworld-B...release/192758
