Just a suggestion...if there are no takers, i wouldn't mind doing a little artwork to go along with the tracks. Leon, i know you are hosting the bios and pix and i definitely don't want to step on your toes if you want to design the project (it's kinda your baby!)

But along with the summer theme, i have some photos of the gorges of Ithaca, NY that loan themselves nicely to cover art. Here's a quick example cover:
http://www.people.cornell.edu/pages/...dirtycover.jpg

Turns out my Minolta has a manufacturer's defect that causes the image to be distorted when the circuitry got too hot and humid. it was 90 degrees in the gorge when i took this picture (there's a waterfall in there...can you see it?). i think it looks very Impressionistic. And summery!

Anyway, just for your consideration.
Holden

Holden, that looks amazing :) You're not stepping on my toes, this compilation is an oppertunity for every artist to contribute with their thing, and to use your artwork is a very good idea.
I think this is not only MY baby, but everybody's baby. I'm only organizing this :p And cheers for the kind words, appreciated.

And Sean, I'm probably going to open a new topic as soon as everything's up and running.

And yeah, the webpage is looking great. Well done, Biz.

Also, attention all the lazy asswhipes, I want your track one of these days :p

If there are some people saying "Give me some time to finish it (weeks)", well... I guess I'll have to kick you out of the group then. I can't fucking wait to release this thing, the deadline has moved already and I want to have this thing up in summer, not winter.

:)

well - don't wait for me to finish my track...

although - I should have some time this evening & tomorrow to work on it

and maybe we should do a different thread for possible artwork submissions? That I could definitely send something off for whenever (not to compete with holden or anything)

Are you able to finish your track in that time?

Well there are others that still have to submit their tracks so I won't kick you out yet :p

Well, I'm basically in the situation where I can send now and send an unfinished product, or I can just keep working on another track (which I'm currently writing and just working on the embellishments and what-not) and if I can submit it before Leon's patience runs out then cool, if not then I'll still probably make everyone aware of it's imminent posting on Myspace or whatever...

As it goes, for the track I've intended on submitting I'm not happy with the vocals I laid. As I thought, I covered the range on it fine but I'm just not happy that I haven't been able to lock up a solid take with a girl that has some sass. The vocals weren't written for me to handle and for that, I'm not going to cut the track short. As such, I could send the track as an instrumental but it's arranged differently in that form and I don't feel like having multiple versions of the same songs floating around. So, it's new track or bust essentially... and I'm 4-5 days out from completion.

So, I don't want to hold up the compilation or anything -- just let me know when I'm cut out.

How long does it take to send your song to Professor?

no way to send via dialup? Or a computer at a friend's place? Come on, you can make it work if you really want to :)

So are we moving the deadline again Leon? Can't let it go on forever you know...
