In malfunction5's offer on eBay it says, "
One purchase per person only please." Of course, this restriction can't be 100% enforced. Some buyer wrote as feedback, "FANTASTIC PURCHASE PLEASE CONTACT ME IF MORE OF THE SAME AA++."

i wonder if this is a test for future concerts,

to see the viability of releasing them on CD
after the show..

i know there are other groups that have done
it...can it be that expensive?

or is it more of a logistical thing..

some of the more popular groups have
released every concert live they have
had from their previous tours..(erasure,
pearl jam, etc)...and some with just
selected concerts..(duran duran,
depeche mode..)..

would 'everything, everything' have
worked if it was only sold at concerts?

It's not hard to do at all. eBay requires a credit card to activate an account - if the guy is in it with a partner, it would be easy to have his friend bid periodically against others to see what the max is and then retract that bid. It's a very risky thing to do especially if the auctions ends on the eBay account that's his own or his friends. I'm sure eBay logs their bids, but who's to say they would shut this guy down if he's driving sales up when they themselves are making money off that profit... bastards!

At any rate, it's pretty unfair that this Yahoo has so many copies and the real fans here have to sell the clothes off their back to buy one... either that or suffer with poor mp3 quality stream rips if they can find them...

here's to hoping this show is released in the states, as that seems to be the only way we can enjoy live UW. and here's to hoping they'll play in California again...

now playing: "Ghosts Of The Multiple Feature - Love And Rockets"

It's called shill bidding and you have to report them to eBay if you think it's being done. I reported a seller once, after a failed attempt to purchase some dogtags and received a suspicious second chance offer, but they came up clean. So if you really think that's what's happening let eBay know, for all our sake.

Count me in if it's not too late. Just had a look at the ebay thing and it looks decidely suspicious.

I would love for UW to make their live shows available for purchase much in the same manner as one of my favorite bands - Primus. They have all their shows for purchase through their website from the past few tours. You can click a date and see the setlist. Sure they are mp3s, but the sound is great and I've purchased a number of shows from their site. All are direct from the soundboard with just enough crowd noise to make the "live" feel come through without being too distracting. They Might Be Giants has the same service as well.

I've always wanted EE in its entirety. We know "Kittens" & "Rowla" were cut, but were there other songs cut as well?

Wow - blow a hard drive and miss potentially the most important conversation here in some time... *sigh*

Well - obviously I'd be in, too... if this materialized.

With Primus you can even choose either mp3 or flac. Hows that for service :)
