Haven't read through the entire thread, but has anybody checked out Deep Dish and Timo Maas? DD's artist album "George Is On" is fantastic (features Stevie Nicks on one song, and it works) and Timo Maas's second album "Pictures" is dark solid. Both great ass-shakers. :D

Franz Ferdinand - you could have it so much better
Fischerspooner - Odyssey
Swayzak - Sounds from the Bergerie (i got it last month even though it came out last year)
Avenue D - Bootleg (also released last year)
Chem. Bros. - push the button
Royksopp - the Understanding
Ladytron - Witching Hour (is it me or does the track "amtv" sound exactly like Lali Puna?)
DM- playing the angel (they're coming to newyork for a cd signing- i'm gonna faint!!)

disappointing: M.I.A.-Arular (I think i only liked galang + 2-3 other songs, i know i'd probably enjoy her live more), Low - the Great Destroyer, Bjork - Drawing Restraint 9, New Order - Waiting for the Siren's Call

They were at the custard factory in Birmingham on Friday night. I had the best night out I've had in ages, despite the £20 cover charge. Not least because I spent it in the company of a beautiful girl dancing like freaks to Teenage Kicks and Da Funk etc.

I'd like to add Deadbeat - "New World Observer" cos I like the minimal ambient dub.
