Freur & Underworld mk I - from the Band

I have committed to file (on flickr) a series of notes and information pieces about Freur and Underworld Mark I (& also early Mark II).

All are full scanned images of original articles, letters and notes which I personally own, and I have uploaded these to Flickr and can be viewed actual size at the site...

a lot more is being upped (keep checking back) and i will run some through OCR software for easy translations

i have almost every magazine article there was too, plus plenty of press ads etc...

i've just found a stash of lyrics in a folder of Underworld / Freur stuff that i never knew i had - these 20 lyric sheets were hand typed by Karl Hyde and sent to a fan who was in contact with him, these were along with a load other stuff i acquired and just found them today and have upped them to share with you

most of the lyrics are recognizable but i didn't have time to identify them so i would welcome any help if they are from normal Underworld songs...

take a look and let me know

I glanced over the lyrics quickly and noticed some for the recently surfaced song "Big Meat Show". I wonder how many other unreleased mk1/Lemon Interupt/mk2 works there are floating around that contain some of the unknown lyrics big screen satellite posted. Or maybe these were just lost to time and were never used. It would be pretty cool if they were incorporated into a new song, going on 20 years later.

well i hope he doesn't mind me digging up the past...

nothing i have posted is anything more than what they / he did with 'the band' and what happened surrounding Freur & Underworld... most 'historical bits' are already in the public domain anyway, its just the non published 'interesting bits' that are pretty relevant - especially these Lyric gems!!! (which i totally stumbled upon behind a set of other stuff)

anyway, most of what remains are official magazine articles etc, but there is a lot to scan and up to flickr....

It'd probably be more accurate to call them Karl's writings, rather than lyrics. And of course, lyrics are drawn from his writings. But there's so much here that have never been lyrics and were probably never intended to be lyrics. And parts where sections of his writings were taken to be lyrics, but other parts were left behind.

just to keep you guys posted - the upload of new files has ceased for a while because I have (personal) laptop issues, and i'm not able to use my work laptop to load these files at present...

but if you are new and / or missed the files before all images are at my flickr page and can be browsed at your leisure
