I know that most of you don't like when others remix Undeworld, but I do. Really do. And I know that couple years ago there was same thread. But from then we have seen so many new remixes that we can start it all over again.

My types:

Ricardo Villalobos
The Juan MacLean
Prins Thomas & Lindstrom
Metope
The Orb
Higher Intelligence Agency
The DFA
Erol Alkan
Ewan Pearson
Gel-Sol
Johannes Heil
John Selway
Photek
Michael Mayer
Paul Kalkbrenner
Plastikman
Dubfire
Sasha
System 7
Thomas Fehlmann
T.Raumschmiere
Zion Train

Damn, long list... ;)

I honestly think Rick should pony up the parts to one of his musics so we could have a remix "competition" or "event" here.

Hmm, I have to say I 'm not too inspired by that list - maybe I'm getting to old to be 'down with the kids', but I've never quite got the point of ricardo villalobos, DFA's work for NIN was unlistenable, the Orb save their good stuff for their own tracks, and are System 7 really still going after all these years?

I vote for Orbital, after all they have reformed and they own Underworld the other half of the remix swap deal they did on Lush.

Oh, and of course the Dirties, if anyone ought know what to do with an Underworld track, It's us :-)

Well, assuming that Justice haven't really quit remixing (which I doubt they have), they'd be a worthy candidate for a RiverRun or live-only track. They used to be remixing kings.

P. Diddy cause he invented the remix.

Not.

I like you. I also like The Orb's remixes. Some of their album songs I believe were remixes of projects that fell through. "Toxygene" being an example

Ha ha! ;)

i couldn't even tell you who's the hip and trendy DJ/producer that would get slated for this sort of thing. So, i'll go for my old faves, though i doubt it's a possibility:
Orbital, Fluke/2bitpie, Way Out West/Nick Warren/Jody Wisternoff, Hybrid, Chemical Brothers (did they ever give back a remix for the two UW mixes of "Leave Home"?)

the Prodigy
the Chemical Brothers
Orbital
Deep Projects (aka Forest)
Pendulum
Utah Saints
Trent Reznor
Black Sun Empire
Aphex Twin
Massive Attack
Adam Freeland

My favorite band to remix Underworld would be Underworld really though.:cool::cool:

Oh, and considering what Fluke were capable of doing with their own album, I'd like to see them do some remixes.

Great idea! I`ve been thinking about doing exactly that for the Japanese fans at darktrain.jp!

In fact, Yannick and I recently threw some ideas out about possibly doing some sort of shared project between the sites: A darktrain art gallery where everyone creates a profile and uploads their work, or perhaps even an online darktrain Art Wall (although the logistics for this would need to be worked out)!

Any sort of project like this would take time to develop, but maybe I should start a new thread on this topic so that everyone can share ideas!:)

Are Trent Reznor and The Prodigy really remixer material? Not an insult, just trying to keep the sanctity of UW's works.

Couldn't disagree more.

Champiness -> both The Prodigy & NIN have done remix work over the years...

although, it has been ages since there was any sort of Prodigy remix of another artist... let alone additional production work

and NIN/Trent Reznor has remixed other artists, but he usually just remixes his own stuff...

the only remixes of other bands that I can think of (that Trent Reznor has done) have been:

U2 - Vertigo
Peter Gabriel - Growing Up
David Bowie - I'm Afraid of Americans (there's like 5 different versions he did)
David Bowie - The Heart's Filthy Lesson

,...but anyways - my picks for other artists to remix UW;

Dubfire
Thomas Fehlmann
James Holden
Bushwacka
Deadmau5
Modeselektor
SebastiAn
UNKLE / Pablo Clements
Massive Attack
Burial
Kode9

...the Chems also owe UW a remix or two from waaaaay back

Reznor's also remixed KMFDM, Puff Daddy, NERD and Curve.

He's a confessed Underworld fan, so teaming the three of them up in any shape or form would be amazing.
