I haven't been able to stop listening to Strumpet since I heard it at the Brixton gigs (and I'm pretty sure I remember them playing it at I Love Techno in Belgium too)... It's quickly become one of my most favourite Underworld tracks, and I really hope it ends up being released in some format with lots of versions so I can get obsessed with it again! Does anyone else have it? I think it's only currently available on the live CDs. If so, what do you think?
Have actually had to turn off last.fm scrobbling as my profile is already so embarrassingly Underworld-dominated as it is ;)
I haven't heard it yet... :(

I don't think they have uploaded the .wav files of the gigs on the underworldlive site yet...

I like it quite a bit. For some reason, it reminds me of Underworld mk1. I think it's the guitar that starts the song and continues throughout, and the lyrics and how they are spoken.
In a recent blog entry at uwlive.com, it was mentioned they were still improving the song. I think the consensus here was that it's great the way it is and they shouldn't alter it (http://www.darktrain.org/dirty/forums/showthread.php?p=106341#post106341), however I definitely can see it growing into something bigger and better.
Oh yeah, it should definitely be released on UWLive.com for digital download as a single track. (or set of tracks like 020202)
The funny thing is that I always thought it was just Confusion the Waitress when they played it in 2000... like Rick didn't find the proper synth or something.
But it seems to be quite different now... can't wait to hear it.

Yeah, it's quite Dirty Epic-ish... Which makes me happy.

I've managed to sneak a listen and on the Brixton ones I thought it was Confusion The Waitress coming in. Unless its a live version, im not really liking it very much but maybe a studio cut will change my mind.
