Rick / Karl - ANY danger of you guys releasing a studio version of strumpet - perleeeese?

it was awesome at Brighton...

and i've heard the two Brixton versions its superb

its not much to ask, personally considering how popular B /Burnout is - i think Strumpet is better...

so get on it...

cheers

BSS (and some other dirts who i know love it already....)

I'd also welcome such danger!

Pretty please? Maybe a work-in-progress version a la Phonestrap, Telematic peal, ALAF, etc...?:o

You know guys, i think we have enough stuff here for a mini album if they were so inclined. Or a large E.P. It could be digital or physical (CD).

Let's take a look shall we:

Strumpet
Always Loved A Film/Silver Boots (Please some combination of the two again or even 3 versions - both seperate tunes and one together).
020202
Phonestrap
Parc (could be put on there again)
Bamboo
You Do Scribble
Globe
Telematic Peel

Any thing i might've missed?

Who else thinks that a compilation like this would be good?

yes, absolutely. i think an EP like the good ole days would be great. if i were rick and karl, i'd split it up into 4 cd singles to promote the live here now discs. 2 new studio tracks per disc and 2 live tracks per disc.

I would like to get my hand on some recent material, but I haven't been able to find it. Hopefully this is released on hard copy.

Strumpet, ALAF and Parc are all on the recent Brixton CD's available through Underworldlive.com. They sent postcards as a bonus and delivery was pretty speedy.

i also vote for a pearl's girl style physical ep. an album that isnt an album.
the internet may be an exciting thing but nobody really knows what the hell theyre doing anymore and think they should still be making songs that sound like new order.

Simple Peal
Always Loved a Film (most recent version with vocals)
Parc
Bamboo
You Do Scribble
Strumpet
Globe
Telematic Peel (with vocals)
Simple Distinctive
Phonestrap 6/Autotrader 4
Phonestrap 5

god. yes.

I am loving Strumpet also. I have plonked boh Brixton gigs onto my iPod but all I play are the Fri and Sat performances of this track.

As I have said previously, it has that dark, eerie, "Tales from Europe", fairey tale-ish quality that I sooo love:)

same here. the Friday version is much better in my opinion. some slight lyric/arrangement changes on Saturday but Friday is better in my opinion.

Can you help on the other thread figuring out the missing lyrics?

I really need to get round to listening to this. Is it on anything about from an old Osaka gig? really not wanting to pay £15 for a song that may never be released.

I agree - Friday has the edge - plus, I love Karl's whispers to Rick at the end of Peach Tree, just prior to Strumpet - "Richard, that was beautiful".
