The GRE format has changed since i took them in 2001, but i can still give this important piece of advice: hit the toilets before you begin the exam!

JUST GOT DONE!!!!!!!!

I *hope* I did well. Before I took the exam, I took a prep class and asked what a "good" score was; and I was told that 1200 was basically what to shoot for (and some people even said 1100)

and I ended up getting 1240!

that's without even figuring my two essays... so I THINK I did 'ok' at least

now if I only had some pot (and could just stop thinking for a bit)....

and yea - I wish I took them back before they changed the format... which I think was around 2005
b/c now you have two essays, a verbal and a math section (plus either an additional verbal or math thrown in randomly, which counts for zero points)... plus the fact that it's all "adaptive scoring" meaning you can't go back and change you answers
