http://www.darktrain.org/dirty/forums/showthread.php?t=9268
As mentioned, the show will be available to listen to again on their website tomorrow.
Is this a joke? I don't know if i should laugh or cry.

dj mission reminds me of the ignorant and irritating Forum/tracker thief/prick whyshooteye. most notable is his short temper, his failure to grasp the english language (yes he's dutch but all the dutch people i've met speak better english than the Americans) and most of all, he's a begging little shit who will leech and suck every UW recording he can then offer the entire discography as a torrent file.
please don't assume random people posting to the forum are good ole fans just looking for music. some of these people are actually profiting from the generosity of Underworld.

a feelin' ;)
actually, newly registered people on any forum are kinda suspect if they go full on and way too much for their first post. they want to establish that they're crazy huge fans by being as aggravating as possible (and somehow always using the phrase "creamed myself" in some variant). it finally falls apart when thinking that this expert display of enthusiasm is automatically an in for people to CHECK HIS MYSPACE PAGE, or to perhaps PROMOTE A FESTIVAL (we had a crop of fake names come in and use a lot of stupid slang to look authentic while plugging whatever festival they were paid to promote). we dont have our usual share of leechers and otherwise crass characters dependent on the generosity of others relative to most band boards, so they tend to be easier to spot.
most people here will patiently wait until they post something unambiguously flagrant before shouting them down, which is why we have BLD to call the buisness early because he's OLD AS FUCK and less inclined to tolerate the internet's little foibles.
:)

instinct says to use banhammer as well, but as long as there's the tiniest bit of doubt that this could be a legit user, admins request that people be left alone. i've banned a couple marketing schlubs but overall the site wants to keep banning to minimum. yes he did post links, and it's pretty much spam, but that could also be just another introduction. if he repeats the same post or posts the same links with no mind for content then things change obviously.

hence you would rarely, or maybe never again post on this forum. prove me wrong and show us your true love and you will be granted access to the deep vaults filled with UW treasures.

if you're not going to sound coherent at least be nice enough to place your self-promotions in the appropriate area
is that nice enough? should we be constantly inundated with drop-in/drop-out pluggers before we encourage some sort of action?

running a forum seems alot like opening a bar/pub. you have to accept that your users and customers are generally the kind of people you don't want to interact with (excluding making money) in either case.

Hiya, well that makes sense, cheers for clarifying that.. Im not a big forum user and dont know about this kind of situation. This is the first music forum Ive been in. I get some dumb ass comments on some of my youtube vids, but I can easily remove them.
On another note...Im in the UK and waiting for a CD of 'Under the Radar' from the USA. I think its being brought over by rowing boat :(

Derailing? Nah, there more digressions than derailment. Who knows if DJ_Mission may pop back up to defend his initial request and call us all out for being harsh on a 'newbie just trying to learn the ropes.'
My old roommate used an old hair trimmer with different clips to keep his beard from that scraggly, unkempt look, but you know, you could start an Alan Moore type beard so the next time underworld tours, you would be unmistakable in the crowd, partially from your beard but also because BLD and I may be loitering around you.

don't knock the beards..
i've started one a few weeks ago, now that i'm not doing
anything...
the silver/gray makes me look REALLY old, well older than i
normally am..
i talked to rick, who was suprised when i told him i was around
karls age...when we met at the NY art jam..
karl thought it was funny while i was talking to him, and rupert hine
walked up....and i said, THE RUPERT HINE......wasn't trying to upstage
him....but it was a great moment..........
now, we're derailed...

Truly derailed now.
Not knocking the beards, actually a bit jealous I can't really grow a full one. The hair my upper lip line doesn't really connect to the chin and there are these two or three patches where it seems no hair will grow. sigh.
Do you have silver/gray in your hair as as the beard or just the beard?
My old roommate had the opposite, gray in the hair and beard hair just black.

i don't know why people think that turning gray is a BAD thing..
and then they spend all that money / time / effort on coloring
it..to make themselves look young?
who are they trying to fool/impress?

I've coloured my hair for years! But not cos it's gray, just cos the natural colour is boring. But... yeah. (looks at roots to see if there is any grey in there).
Eating broccoli slows down grayness, apparently.
