Was somewhat surprised to find out yesterday that Slowdive/Mojave 3 main man Neil Halstead is, at long last, releasing his follow up to the brilliant Sleeping On Roads next week. I say surprised because over the last six years I've been periodically checking to see if there was any news of a follow up and then the first I hear about it is only a few days before its release. Still, at least I won't have long to wait now. :)
His debut is probably one of my favourite albums and still gets regular plays now some 6 and a half years later. Think pared down Mojave 3, Nick Drake influences, acoustic rock and you won't be a million miles away from his sound.
