Did you restart your web browser? If so, what is the error it's giving? Do you at least see the "User Name" field and the "connect" button?

I got a java error, too. Just a big red x where the applet should be (after the java spinner, showing me that it at least tried to open java).

Interestingly, the Listen Again doesn't have any of the dropouts from when the encoder crashed.
This new version of 020202 is sick.
Toobee is very lovely. Have we heard the vocal sample of that guy before? It sounds familiar.

Mr & Mrs Christmas came from when R&K covered for John Peel on Radio 1. Like thw radio stuff they are doing now, they played a selection of songs. However, there was at least 4/5 pieces credited to a band called Mr & Mrs Christmas who i think they said toured with them in France. Very calm and ambient stuff, no-one was really sure if it was Underworld or not. Most people did assume it was.
When JAL came out, someone who had an essential mix played the song, but the artist was credited as Mr & Mrs Christmas, this despite having Karls vocals all over it. I think it was the Paul Wooford[sp?] mix that was played.
The piano intro of "Dinner at Rods" was also played at a live Japanese show as an intro to JAL. That recording was then sold as a live CD to people who went to the gig and the remaining copies sold on ebay.

Anyone know where to download a ripped copy of the broadcast? I remember for the last broadcast, someone mentioned a website that had a lot of tours and such. I think the site has the word "mix" or "pot" in it, but I'm not sure, I have a horrible memory. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

dimeadozen and themixingbowl are both very good sites...

It's just an alias UW used for the John Peel show, just to be a little sneaky. It was mentioned a couple other times.
I don't think there was ever any question that it was Underworld, but if you really need validation, on the John Peel show, Mr. and Mrs. Christmas were credited for "Belfort Novatel Kipper", and on the 2008-04-23 Radio Broadcast, "Belfort Novatel Kipper" was credited to  Underworld. "Choppo" was that way too (one of the 2005 broadcasts).
Oh yeah, and all those Mr &Mrs Xmas song titles showed up on the Warner Chappell site under R&K.
And it's on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Underworld_%28band%29), so it MUST be true. ;)

I recorded the listen-again stream and spliced it with about 20 minutes of pre-show music.
This leaves you with a 2h38m37s, 192 kbps, 217 Mb file.

Any chance this can be uploaded as a .SAT File?
I am abroad and not sure how long ill be. Even if someone can upload Toobee? As TheBang says hands down by far the best track on the show.
Appreciate the help. This PC on dial up too :(
I could finally find some time to listen to this show... which is great as usual.
The Telematic Peal & 020202 versions are really good & I love (and constantly play...) the part starting with Karl saying "Darren Price is very... very... very..." to Holding The Moth (Audiojack Dub) which is, for me, the highlight of this webcast.
Many thanks again to UW.

Anyone happen to compare the MP3 posted here and the rip that's on the RTSR Tracker? Which is best?
I can't decide if I want the whole mix or broken into tracks.
TheBang
06-26-2008, 10:43 PM
If you want an answer on the technical merits, the AAC on the tracker would be superior. It's a direct rip without any transcoding. The MP3 is a lossy transcode, and thus is a degradation in quality.
